Your seafood BBQ cooking class commences with a beer on arrival and an introduction to the group covering what we would most like to achieve from the lesson or course. Aprons are provided to all students to get into the mood for cooking up a storm.

Our experienced chef demonstrators introduce themselves and outline what is to be achieved from the day. In our BBQ Seafood lesson, we look at how and why we want to achieve really moist and crisp seafood, including key buying tips and hints to ensure you are purchasing and receiving exactly what you set out to; the freshest possible product.

We again enjoy a detailed wine tutorial matched to our lunch with hints to best varieties and vintages to serve when you next fire up the BBQ.

During our lessons, we assume no knowledge and research fully the best outcomes for cooking more confidently on the BBQ - guaranteed to give you positive results everytime!

Session Length

Morning & afternoon sessions available on weekends. Morning session starts at 11.30am & afternoon session starts at 3.30pm. This experience goes for 3 hours.

Guidelines:

Classes are totally self-contained and can be enjoyed on your own or in a group. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to ensure a successful day barbequing for all. All aprons, equipment and ingredients are supplied fresh from our suppliers for a great days cooking.

Numbers:

We operate with 12 – 20 people in each cooking class plus 2 experienced chefs. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, you will be contacted via email the Thursday prior to your experience to offer an alternate date for the class.

Spectators:

This experience is not suitable for spectators.

Weather:

This experience is not affected by the weather.

Other Info:

The class includes all ingredients, wine tasting, salad, spring water and a fantastic meal to celebrate together. The classes are both a demonstration and hands on and there is an interesting wine tutorial. For corporate groups, we can tailor the cooking class to incorporate team exercises.

    It was fantastic and the food was amazing. I went to a 5 star seafood restaurant that evening (although already full from the lunch that we cooked) and the meals were great but did not even compare to what we cooked earlier that day. Great experience!

    It was very good & it was better than I had expected. Phil was excellent , his knowledge, presentation of this course was outstanding,the food & wine also excellent.I had not experienced anything on this menu before, it was easy to prepare & cook & even easier to eat! Dennis & I thoroughly enjoyed the day.Looking forward to receiving our recipes & information on cooking times etc.

    The chefs were great communicators. They imparted (what seemed ) an enormous amount of practical knowledge in such a short time. the pace of the session was perfect. Combining demonstration, with observation and then hands on was was ideal
