This Sydney art gallery walking tour allows you to participate in the experience of encountering art. Ask all those questions you have always wanted to ask but have been too afraid to ask about contemporary art!
Sydney is a hub for contemporary art in Australia. As part of this three-hour walking tour, your tour guide, who holds a Masters in Fine Arts will select some of the most fascinating and varied exhibits for you to explore.
You'll see the newest in painting, sculpture and photography by Australian artists. Each tour showcases a range of different galleries including major commercial spaces, artist-run spaces and studios. There’s something for everyone.
At each stop, your tour guide helps explain the artwork and leads the group in a lively discussion - it’s a great way to learn more about contemporary art. You'll get to have a chat with the artists and gallery staff in a relaxed social setting and meet people who share your interest in learning more about art.
This tour will take you away from the usual tourists tracks and you’ll discover discover new artists, new galleries as well as parts of Sydney you’ve never known existed.
Exhibits change frequently, so week on week you'll get a very different tour!

Your walking tour will depart from a Sydney art gallery.
This three hour walking tour takes place every Saturday from 1.00 to 4.00pm.
A general level of fitness is required and these tours are unsuitable for anyone with a medical conditions that restricts or precludes moderate levels of exercise. Please note: If you would like to drive between venues this is often possible and although not recommended it can be arranged.
The price quoted is for one adult. On the day your walking tour group will be between 4 and 10 people.
This walking tour takes place rain hail or shine! However, in the case of extreme weather your tour will be rescheduled or sometimes when possible provide transport between venues.
Your guide holds a Master of Fine Art, a Diploma of Museum Studies and a Bachelor of Visual Arts and is a specialist in Australian contemporary art as well as being a Sydney based visual artist and professional art educator.
