Arrived at 5.30am to a cuppa and some biscuits,good way to start an early morning. Into the buses and then to the sight we would take off from. 16 people in our basket and what a beautiful morning. Slowly rising into the air with no bumps. The scenery was spectacular ,sunrise,kangaroos, wineries and our pilot very knowledgable of the area. Both my husband and I could not believe just how smooth and quiet it was. Landing was smooth and then back to our meeting point for a Champayne breakfast. Truly a wonderful experience for both of us

Always wanted to do this, and now want to do it again!! Just an incredible experience. Recommended! Mind, we were lucky with the weather :)

The whole process from start to finish was great, easy to book, the experience of helping with the set up of the balloon, seeing how it all worked, the flight was amazing, our pilot who we found out later to be the # 1 pilot in Aust was great, really put the nervous ones at ease (my husband)........the flight one of the best things that I have ever done.......then we had bubbles and breakty at a great winery......could not get any better.........

whoever53 It was actually a great experience gicing to us by our kids for our 50th birthday
However was quite surprised that the group had to help lay out the balloon which was fine, but the packing up was stuff work. You pay all that money and you are the labour team for the day!!!!!!! We are quite fit and healthy weight for 53yrs old, however climbing and jumping in and out of the basket was hard going(im only 5ft tall), dont know how older and bigger people could do this exciting experience. My brother 63yrs old said he would love to do it, and unfortunatly I advised that I dont think he could, His knees would not climb into the basket. The pilot was very experienced and landing was great. Just didnt expect what we had to do for the money. But loved it anyeway

I bought hubby the Hunter Valley Ballooning experience through Red Balloon nearly a year ago, and it's taken me that long to muster up the courage to go along with him. This is because I am absolutely terrified (and I mean terrified!) of heights.. hot air ballooning was not even on my radar of things I wanted to do! Hubby however desperately wanted to enjoy the experience, so we made the booking which was really easy!
Arriving at the meeting point at 5.20am, we joined many others who looked as tired as we felt. The pilot, Matt, explained the process to everyone and we were each allocated a balloon. On this day there were three balloons going out at the same time. We were bussed from the meeting point to the balloon take off site.
Hubby and I were allocated to the biggest balloon with Matt and 14 other people. Everyone assisted in setting up the balloon to get it ready for take off. We got into the basket (I started considering whether this was really a good idea!) - before I knew it, the balloon was gently lifting off the ground.
The balloon ride was smooth and Matt was a very adept, calm and amiable pilot. He answered everyone's questions, and there were a lot of them as people were very curious. I think hardly anyone noticed that I was hanging on very tightly to the basket and trying not to look down!
After around an hour and a half of ballooning, Matt located a suitable field and we had a very soft landing in a dairy farmer's open field. The dairy farmer came out and wanted photos! I guess it's not every day that you have a hot air balloon land in your field.
Everyone helped in packing up the balloon which was fun. The mini bus then picked us up and took us back to the meeting point where everyone enjoyed a very good quality champagne breakfast.
The experience itself was very enjoyable (except for the 'look down' bits) and I would certainly recommend this to anyone seeking a very scenic adventure with an early start.

Had the most magnificent morning, it was an experience of a life time everything was very professionally done from the time i booked to the beautiful balloon ride and the champagne breakfast afterwards.
Thankyou so much i will recommend highly and would do it again in a heart beat

From the time we left to the time we landed, we had the best hot air balloon experience. A smooth ride over the beautiful Hunter Valley. The staff were great and our driver did superb.
We have recommended this experience to all our friends and family.
Will definately do it again!!

Could not have asked for a better way to spend the morning. Staff were very professional, views stunning, champagne breakfast a great way to finish the experience.
