Ever wanted to snorkel your way into the fascinating underwater world of Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay? Here's your chance to snorkel with the weedy sea dragons that reside in this beautiful area. Learn the basic techniques and then head out to the bay for a snorkeling adventure of a lifetime!

Finish the day with a visit of the Peninsula Hot Springs for a warm soak!

We provide a personalised service with some of the most spectacular creatures to be discovered by visitors, including our famous weedy sea dragons and seahorses.

Venture into the underwater world and get a taste for snorkeling on this half day adventure experience. Your Snorkeling with Sea Dragons experience is broken up into three sessions.

Session 1 - Briefing on snorkel tour.

Session 2 - Equipment brief.

Session 3 - Head out for your snorkel tour. We take you on a guided eco-snorkel in Port Phillip Bay to visit our famous weedy sea dragon colony.

Finish the day with a soak at the gorgeous Peninsula Hot Springs, with naturally warm spring water pools between 39 and 43 degrees in beautiful surroundings, perfect for a romantic getaway!

Venue:

Portsea, Victoria - approximately 90 minutes south of the Melbourne CBD.

Session Length

This is a half day experience. Sessions run daily at 1.30pm, subject to availability. Peninsula Hot Springs entry is unlimited in time. Normally 2 hours is sufficient.

Guidelines:

Participant Guidelines This experience is suitable for all age groups from 7 years and over. Pregnant women are advised not to bathe at the Peninsula Hot Springs.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a minimum of two. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, we will contact you reschedule your experience for a later date. Children's prices are also available - please refer to product code BPL561.

Spectators:

Spectators can follow our trail as we are often snorkeling close to the pier.

Weather:

In the case of poor weather we will reschedule your experience for a later date.

Rated 4 out of 5 by A drawn out experience with little to see After a very late start as we chose a day where they were understaffed due to sickies and Portsea was packed with people due to a carnival day, we finally got into the water for our snorkel. Even though others in our group saw the sea dragons, I did not as they are hard to see and you had to have good duck diving skills to get down and look underneath seaweed and ledges. The water was also murky which didnt help with visability. We did however get to see a few stingrays which made up for the lack of sea dragons. Better off going down on your own in the morning when there are less people. 27 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful fun filled experience for every person. The day although was a bit overcast was a great success! My partner and I saw the sea dragons that we ventured out to see and more marine animals and plants. The experience was a fantastic present and I would certainly recommend and buy an experience for someone. After the amazing snorkelling the hot springs package deal made the day perfect by warming up in the wonderful natural hot springs! AMAZING! 1 January 2013
