Escape to the spectacular Ningaloo Reef and stay in a spectacularly remote environment. Sal Salis is an exceptional eco-luxury camping experience - out in the wilderness but you'll be left wanting nothing. For four luxurious days you'll see only beautiful scenery and hear only waves.
Ningaloo Reef remains one of Australia's best kept natural secrets, stretching 280kms along the mid-north coast of WA. Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef is a 9 tented camp hidden amongst the dunes.
Overlooking a magnificent stretch of pristine coastline and with tents just 50m from the beach, you'll be put up close and personal with the wonderfully healthy reef just ten metres offshore.
The camp was created in line with Cape Range National Park's strict environmental code and has a minimal effect on the environment you'll come to love.
There's plenty to fill your days if you're that way inclined - guided kayak snorkels, coastal drift snorkels, turtle watching, and beach walks.
From April to June each year, you're invited to swim with the migrating whale sharks (additional cost). Ningaloo is amongst the best places in the world to experience a migration closer than you could ever imagine. A mantra ray cruise can also be arranged (additional cost). Manta rays are visible year round, and humpback whales say hello between August and November.
If you like your activities a little drier, enjoy guided gorge walks to view the wonderful bird and wildlife that resides in the Cape Range National Park - kangaroos, wallaroos and emus and more.
The camp brings a touch of luxury to a spectacular coastal wilderness. The resident chef maintains exceptional standards in cuisine. Meals are served around the camp table, hosted by the guide in an atmosphere that is laid back and utterly in tune with the earth.
It's drinks on the dunes watching the sunset; it's quality linen and comfortable beds; it's ensuite bathrooms and hurricane lamps. Combine those niceties with the one of the best of the Australian coastal settings and you've got one magnificent holiday!
