I've always enjoyed a spot of camping-cooking in the great outdoors, star gazing, morning bathing in the nearby lake or ocean. But there are so many things I can do without, especially when the weather isn't right for it-rigging a tent in mud, running to the bathroom (which is always too far away) in the middle of the night, cold showers, competing with the local wildlife for your food supplies.
