Main description

Your V8 race car drive day begins as you register at reception prior to your pre-drive tuition. This will prepare you for driving a race prepared V8 race car with information on handling the car, cornering, braking and the track map. You are then ushered to pit lane and fitted with your own race suit and helmet.

Prior to your drive, you'll be asked whether you would prefer an automatic or manual, Ford or Holden to drive! You are then strapped in behind the wheel, introduced to your personal in-car coach and off you go for your drive of a lifetime! Through an intercom system built into the helmets, your in-car coach will encourage you through your drive with advice on gear changes and brake points so that you can drive fast and safely. While not a race, there are no limits on speed and overtaking is common during this thrilling drive experience!

Once you have completed the driving component its time to complete 3 hot laps. You will be strapped into the back seat of a specially designed V8 race car. A professional race driver will have you traveling at ridiculous speeds while talking you through the experience via an intercom fitted helmet.

You can choose to purchase a Super Photo Souvenir and In-Car digital video recording with telemetry on a USB stick on the day for $49 each.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

We operate from Wakefield Park – two hours drive from Sydney CBD. Experience provider also supplies an affordable bus transportation option from Sydney to the Wakefield Park venue.

Session Length

We ask participants to allow themselves a maximum of 3.5 hours for their experience. Sessions times start every 45 minutes starting from first drive session at 8.15am and lest session at 12.45pm.

Guidelines:

You must be 18 years of age or older and hold a P-Plate licence as a minimum requirement. All participants must be drug and alcohol free. A 130kg maximum weight restriction applies, our largest race suit is XXXXL. A V8 automatic Holden is available for drivers who don't hold a manual licence.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. Your briefing will be held in a group of approximately 20-25 people. Your drive experience is one-on-one with a personal in-car coach, for the hot laps you will be in the car with 2 other participants.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome and are admitted to the track at no charge. Cameras and recorders can be used at all times excluding during the driver’s briefing. You can bring your own food and snacks. No animals or alcohol is permitted.

Weather:

To ensure your safety, your drive may be postponed due to poor weather conditions or rescheduled for a later date. Please contact the supplier if it is raining prior to you leaving home. A recorded message is left from 7am advising track and weather conditions.

Other Info:

All attendees will be required to sign a liability waiver upon entering the track and participants only will also sign an indemnity form prior to driving. In the event of an accident you will be liable to cover the first $3000 towards the repair costs of the car.

He thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, the staff were excellent and went out of their way when I explained the present for my Dad. They were very professional, photo team was great, drivers were fantastic!! We all had such a great day all of my brothers and sisters even had a passenger ride and it was fabulous!!! Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Experience Great experience, not enough laps, just getting hang of it and its over, would love to have another go, hot lap ride cars on track at same time not ideal, their presence when overtaking needs better communication, the so called "hot lap" ride was disappointing more like a "warm" lap, I don't think the car had enough power to provide a "hot" lap while carrying the weight of 3 people. 28 February 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by If you get a good trainer go for it, otherwise steer clear I recently went to Goulburn for the 9 lap drive. The staff were courteous & I was excited / nervous. Upon entering the car the 'trainer' was very abrupt & didn't help me settle at all. He was actually dangerous in many ways. As the mirrors are adjusted for him to see (fair call) the driver is blind to all but what is infront. He would simply yell at me to keep left (or right) if a faster car was coming (away from driving line) as you approached a corner (opposite direction) without warning at all as to why which was confusing until they passed. Also he would grab the wheel & barked at me for changing gears in the manual when it was clearly natural change points. It completely ruined the experience for me. I could see how it could be great fun, but you would need to have a decent coach who not just knows how to drive himself, but can also share that with someone without experience on the track. 25 February 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great I had the 6 laps with me driving and then 3 laps as a passenger. It was great but would have been much better for me if I had the passengers laps before I drove. It would have helped me with the correct lines for cornering etc. 22 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Something I have wanted to do for a long time and it was great. the experirnce of the day was great thanks for that. For me to learn the track and the car I needed 8 to 10 laps. Was just getting my head around how the car performed and the way the track went on lap 5 and started to get some confidence and started to enjoy the car for what it can do. The coach was great and told me how the car can perform but for me, being older, needed more time in the car. I have done an advance safty driving course, some time ago, with Alan Grice and I felt that as I got more confident I had some skills from that course to really drive the car quicker.
