Bordered by stunning stretches of sandy swimming beaches and the famous Royal National Park, this waterway in the south of Sydney is perfectly located for a kayaking adventure.
Hire a kayak and explore the treasures of this magnificent waterway at your own pace. Get away from the bustle and smog of the city and breathe some fresh air! Pack a picnic lunch, hire a kayak and head out for a half day of adventure.
When you arrive at our lovely beach-front location you’ll be given basic kayak and safety instructions. You’ll also be fitted with a kayak and safety jackets. Our kayaks have heaps of waterproof storage space so you can store your gear onboard the kayak without having to worry about getting it wet! You’ll also be provided with a map of the area. Then it’s time to head off on your kayaking adventure, out into the bay and up the river for four hours of kayaking fun!
The Royal National Park is the second oldest national park in the world! One of the attractions of the Royal National Park is the sandy swimming beaches that you will encounter along the way. Get out and have a swim or go for a bush-walk and explore fresh-waterholes, overhanging rocks and eucalypt forests. There are also crumbling foundations of old cottages that you can investigate. You may also be lucky enough to see some pelicans or other wildlife! If you have brought a picnic lunch you might want to find a shady, peaceful spot and stop for refreshment before continuing on your way. Or maybe you’ll just want to stay in your kayak and enjoy the scenery.
Kayaking is a wonderful and rewarding way to spend a day, get some fresh air and enjoy the beauty of Australia’s natural environment. Who would have thought that such a peaceful and stunning place would exist within a 50 minute drive of busy Sydney?

This experience is available Wednesday to Sunday, between sunrise and sunset, excluding Christmas Day. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Your kayak hire is for four hours.
You must be reasonably fit and be able to swim in order to participate in this experience.
The price quoted is for two people and and includes hire of a double kayak for four hours.
There is a lovely picnic ground nearby that your family and friends can enjoy whilst you are kayaking.
This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of extreme weather conditions we may reschedule your experience for a later date.
You will be required to sign a waiver on the day, prior to participating in this experience. Bring sunscreen, a picnic lunch, a towel, water bottle and a large plastic bag to keep your gear dry. We provide waterproof containers so you can bring your camera and it won’t get wet! Maps are provided.
