Lunch with llamas? You're not at the Mad Hatter's tea party but in the beautiful Hunter Valley at this llama and rare breeds farm! Sit down to a three-course lunch in the fresh country air, surrounded by friendly llamas and fragrant lavender gardens. What a delightful and unique excursion!

On arrival you will be welcomed by your hosts and escorted to your table in one of our garden areas and have a leisurely cold drink and view the llamas in the adjacent area.

After you have settled and met the llamas your entree will be served. This is followed by your main course and dessert then tea or coffee with lavender chocolates. Savour your lunch, chill out and enjoy the peace and tranquility with the llamas and the fresh country air.

After lunch you will taken on a farm tour to see the other rare breed farm animals some of whom are critically endangered, coming back through the Heritage Gardens admiring the French Lavender and Heritage Roses along with old fashioned vegetables and fruit trees. The Heritage Gardens operate on a permaculture style with special care being taken to ensure the soil has absorbed essential nutrients from decaying plant life and is allowed time to rest and regenerate. Produce from this garden goes into your picnic meal - picked fresh daily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by A very pleasant experience Thoroughly enjoyed the luncheon and then a wander in the garden and meeting the various llamas, goats, donkeys, chooks A lovely area in fresh country air 15 May 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by low grade experience The service was extremely slow with no explanation that it was a fixed menu. The food very poor quality and I would say that the dessert was straight from a packet and the capsicum striaght from a bottle! The garden was a ruin. 12 May 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very pleasant a very good experience. Staff were excellent and very welcoming. Food was very good and well presented. Animals were very likeable complete with rural aroma. 12 May 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by excellent location the animals stole the show we loved being in the countryside and appreciated the beautiful drive from Newcastle. so Location is a winner. the food did not quite live up to what was advertised e.g. no beef pie instead we had quiche the Llamas and animals are really cared for by their owner and it is a great location for them and as I said above they stole the show the weather was great so being outdoors in the fresh country air was sublime enjoyed a trip into Dungog afterwards which is well worth a visit 7 May 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by The weather was magic The drive in the country and beautiful weather made the day for me. Unfortunately the staff was new and were not yet organised or up to speed with the food and service. The grounds also needed some TLC. 28 April 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by can only comment on the lunch the lunch was good due to the rain we could not do a tour of the farm the owner gave a talk about the llamas which was interesting. It would have been nice to be offered a voucher to go back to do the tour as this was one of the highlights of the day it was disappointing that this did not happen 24 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Catered for Vegetarians Really well. I contacted Denise, regarding my wife being a vegetarian and also not eating certain vegetables and they catered to our requirements really well. Denise changed from their normal vegetarian option to suit. Extremely Satisfied with the service. Thanks 21 April 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lovely animals. Disappointing meal. Llamas, donkeys and goats were lovely to see and very friendly. Didn't get a tour as advertised so missed all the other breeds. Meal was small and not as described. Was disappointed after a very long drive! 7 April 2013
