Enjoy the luxury of cruising Melbourne’s Yarra River in our opulently appointed four-seater Venetian-style gondolas. Relax in the velvet seats and sip champagne as you glide past the city's finest attractions, from spectacular Federation Square to the sights and sounds of vibrant Southbank!

This gondola cruise is for two to four people so pick three friends or just one special other with whom to share this decadent experience.

When you arrive at the departure pontoon for your scheduled gondola cruise, one of our experienced gondoliers will be there to greet and help you into the boat. Based on traditional Venetian boat plans and built in Melbourne, our gondolas provide a luxurious way to cruise the Yarra River!

Each gondola takes up to four passengers and is opulently appointed with upholstered velvet seats, plush cushions, warm rugs and a fold-over canopy to keep customers warm and dry if the weather is cool. A cosy romantic ambience is created with soft music and gentle lighting.

When you step into the boat, a bottle of quality French Champagne will be ready on ice. You will also enjoy a cheese and antipasto platter on the cruise. Relax, sit back, with glass in hand, and take in the sights and sounds of Melbourne’s Yarra River.

Your gondolier will row the boat from a separate section at the rear. Moving at about two knots, your cruise will take you through the city section of Melbourne’s Yarra River. You’ll glide past all of the main attractions – the Exhibition Centre, Aquarium, Southbank and Crown Casino, Flinders Street Station, Federation Square and the tranquil Alexandra Gardens.

At the completion of your one hour gondola cruise, you’ll be taken back to the pontoon and our gondolier will help you disembark.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

Our gondola cruises operate seven days a week throughout the year, by appointment, from 6pm onwards. During the summer months, and particularly on weekends, we are extremely busy, so to avoid disappointment we recommend that you book at least two weeks in advance of your preferred date.

Guidelines:

Each gondola can seat up to four passengers. Children under 14 years of age are not permitted on the boat.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for up to four people. You can choose to have anywhere from two to four people on the cruise and will have exclusive use of the gondola.

Spectators:

Friends and family are welcome to watch your cruise depart from the riverbank.

Weather:

The protective canopy of the gondola allows us to still provide a cruise if there is a light shower, however in the event of strong winds or heavy rain, we may be required to reschedule your cruise for a later date.

Other Info:

This is a one hour cruise and includes a bottle of sparkling wine and a cheese and antipasto platter.

    The gondola ride was a perfect way to start our evening, we were the envy of everyone on the riverbank, the views were gorgeous and we got many photos too, plus having champagne and a cheese platter just topped it all off. I'd recommend this experience to everyone.

    Even though it was drizzling rain some of the time it did not dampen our spirits. My 3 daughters and I had a lovely time and enjoyed the gentle company of the Gondolier. The City looked lovely on dusk as the lights were starting to come on.
