Dolphins are one of the Earth’s most fascinating and curious creatures don’t miss this once in a lifetime encounter to swim with them; something that you will remember forever.

Your swim with dolphins experience begins at 7.30am when you arrive at the boat - a 58ft colossal sailing catamaran. As soon as you board, the professional and enthusiastic crew will make you feel welcome and also excited about the adventure you are about to encounter. A briefing is then conducted by one of the expert crew which includes what to expect, what to do and not to do and for those who have never snorkelled, a demonstration is given.

The boat departs the marina at 7.45am sharp, sometimes within minutes you get to see the first dolphins of the day, which seem to come out of nowhere to play and frolic around the hulls.

For the swimmers - The interaction can amazingly last over an hour; however, this is sometimes spread over three or four swims with different pods of dolphins. The first time you see them underwater it takes your breath away. Their grace and playfulness is stunning and the sounds of their whistles and echo location noises are mesmerising.

For the watchers – Not everyone wishes to get into the water, however, even from the vessel the dolphins seem just out of reaching distance, enabling you to enjoy and capture on film their playful displays.

Because these are wild dolphins every cruise and swim is different.

The boat returns to the marina at approximately 11.30am.

Please note:

This experience is not available in July or August. Dolphins are wild and free to swim wherever they wish. There is a high probability that you will see dolphins, however this cannot be guaranteed. This makes the experience all the more special when you do see dolphins.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

7.45am to 11.30am approx., however, it is important that you arrive at the boat at 7.30am sharp. In warmer months, from November to March, the experience is available every day. In April, May, June, September, October, the experience is available on Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun

Guidelines:

This experience is for Children aged from 8 to 15 years old. Children must be 8 years and older to swim – no age restrictions for watching. No direct wheelchair access, however wheelchair users are welcome but must be carried onto the vessel.

Numbers:

Limited to 25 swimmers and 25 watchers.

Weather:

All cruises are weather dependent. Please provide a mobile phone number so that the supplier may contact you on the day of your cruise. If cruise is cancelled due to weather, the supplier will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. Cancelled experiences will be rescheduled for a later date

All swimmers must sign a waiver. What to bring: Bathers and towel Hat and sun screen Camera and extra film Warm clothes (in cooler months) Snack and refreshments (we DO NOT supply food or drinks) Note: Wet suits, snorkels and mask are provided.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but felt unprepared for entering the water Staff were very friendly but lacked in their explanation of things to participants. Would've been useful to know how demanding it is to hold on to the rope when you initially get in - simply so that you're prepared, particularly for children or older individuals. You do actually need to be quite a confident swimmer and reasonably strong to do this activity. 19 March 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Had the weather been better, we may have seen more dolphins. As it was overcast it was difficult to spot the dolphins so we didn't get to swim with any. The crew were good and they offered us another opportunity to try again for half price. 17 March 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by value for money and a fantastic experience!! I really enjoyed this experience, I bought this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend!! I came within 2 meters of 3 dolphins and saw baby ones too!! I did the swim which made it even better and even getting on and off the boat was an experience in itself!! It was a fun start to the day and would do it again!! 11 February 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great morning A great morning out. These wild dolphins seem to always be on the move and only mildy interested in circling the boat. Also the sea conditions vary. Seeing them close up from the boat was great, but sometimes brief. Seeing them underwater was harder because of visibility on the day. 28 January 2013

Up close and great views of the dolphins from on the boat and in the water. Even great views of the coastline from a different perspective. We were lucky to have perfect weather. 20 January 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by A very worthwhile and refreshing experience. We were fortunate with the weather and certainly saw some dolphins. Initially, I was concerned about sharks . However, it soon became obvious that we were well guarded by crew lookout with binoculars, and some electronic shark deterrence. I was grateful for some crew assistance in putting on a tight wetsuit ,nearly, 40 years after the last time. I used one in a SCUBA training course. The only disappointment was the relatively minor one of the Adelaide coastal sea water not being as clear underwater as it was in the 1970's. Being immersed in the sea water is good for your skin, and invigorating. 29 December 2012
