Rated 4 out of 5 by A bit of fun for something different The bike was average at best. It only had three gears that worked which made it a struggle to ride (even with 2 people!). The brakes were squeaky and it didn't appear to have been serviced recently. It came to us with a flat tyre which we had to ask to be pumped up before we left the bike shop. The ride itself was enjoyable as it was a coastal ride, lovely views of the ocean and Melbourne. But as I said before the bike was average so it made it tough going. Lunch was amazing, fantastic restaurant, wonderful service and lovely food. Would definately go back again. The only disappointment was that it wasnt made clear to us that the experience only included $40 towards the meal, we were under the impression that the whole lunch would be covered. Perhaps it would be better to indicate more clearly that additional funds should be brought along with you on the day to cover the lunch costs. Overall a nice outing. 29 April 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fantastic Food! Lunch was amazing! Beautiful food and great service. Unfortunately we were given a cruiser bike to ride that was not made for the 30km we rode. Both of us are reasonably fit, certainly fit enough for this ride but found the cruiser was difficult to ride and were quite saddle sore afterwards (with the bruises to prove it). The ride was in a great location and would have really enjoyed it if not for the bike we were given. 5 March 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by overall this is great fun I think there needs to be more staff on at the cycle shop as there was quite a few people waiting to get served all at the same time around 10ish & they need to take more time with each customer as bikes need adjusting etc & it seemed rushed. The spiel says that they provide you with a drink when you pick up the bike, this was non existent so make sure you take a cool drink with you, reason the staff said was because the promo was written a long time ago & they dont give drinks any more.hmm change the spiel then as it was 30deg day!!. Make sure you check to see if there are any other events around the date you pick as we had to deal with a triathalon & some of the bike path was closed to the public. The restaurant was great, service excellent but prices a little expensive so your $ portion allocated from the hire doesnt go very far be prepared for that. maybe a cheaper cafe is a better option for the lunch not a restaurant. so maybe just hire the bike without the lunch option . which is what I would recommend to my friends 20 February 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not the relaxing ride we were expecting We weren't that excited about the tandom bike experience to start with. But then when we got there we only got a quick ride around the carpark given a map and off we were sent straight onto a main road. We decided to walk the bike to the bike path as we weren't confident on it yet. Once we got to the path a long the beach (not along the Yarra river as stated in the voucher) we were faced with a corpate triathalon that was running along the same path. We then were faced with having to either lift the bike over 2 flights of stairs or go back and ride a long the road as the event was taking place across the path we were ment to ride. The staff did not tell us how far it was to the restaurant and gave us the vibe that it wasn't that far away stating when they open and if we get there before that, that we can keep riding and come back for lunch. However, it was 13 kilometers to get to where lunch was. So all up 26 kilometres on a bike that had not been looked after and had gears that would change when we hit bumps. The seats of the bike were extremely uncomfortable. If the bike was well maintained and the restaraunt was closer so we could actualy choose how long we could ride it would be a good experience. However on this occasion it was not a pleasent experience. 19 February 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fun way to spend a Sunday Tandem bike riding is really fun and quite physical. Great views along Beach St from St Kilda to Black Rock. Lunch was delicious, the cinnamon donuts are a must. Most challenging part of the day is avoiding people on the wrong side of the footpath -- had a few near misses!!! 8 February 2013
