Step ashore for a personal guided tour of a harbour island which contains some of Australia's most important and intact convict-built buildings. Visit the amazing early 1800s military gun powder magazine including the soldiers’ barracks and Sydney’s oldest Water Police Station.

Hear ghastly and gruesome tales of punishment, deaths and escapes, all with a backdrop of the best views of Sydney Harbour.

Cruise past the harbour side castles of Kirribilli House, Fort Denison and Admiralty House. You will also get to see the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

Please note: After you travel from Campbell’s cove to goat island aboard the ferry the Mulgi you will embark on a 1.5km guided scenic walk (this includes some inclines) around Goat Island while you take in the convict sites and magnificent views of the harbour.

Session Length

The experience runs for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. We run on Thursdays and Fridays at 1pm and Saturday and Sundays at 11.30 and 1pm.

Numbers:

Personalised small tour group guaranteed. There is a maximum 35 per tour group. With up to 3 groups on the vessel at one time.

Not suitable for spectators

Weather:

Tours are conducted in all weather. If it looks like rain, please bring wet weather gear. Alternate indoor arrangements for lunch will be made on the island.

Unfortunately, due to some steep stairs to access facilities on board, the MV Mulgi does not have wheelchair access.

    The day was great but the hill was a bit tough for my wife and a few other older people , I think some way of transport up the hill would be great like a 6 / 8 seat golf buggy.
