Bring the family to the National Zoo for a 1.5 hour behind the scenes tour where you can get up close and interact with the animals.

Join this fun family adventure that is sure to thrill both young and old. This family tour encompasses the best of the zoo in a relaxed and safe atmosphere. Designed particularly for Families with younger children, participants will go behind the scenes to meet and feed some of the zoos favorite animals. This experience also includes general zoo entry so you can spend the whole day exploring the zoo before joining the behind the scenes tour.

Please note: The advertised price is for one person. However, this tour is great for families so you may purchase additional vouchers to bring the family along.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

National Zoo & Aquarium. Located about 5 minutes drive from centre of Canberra

Session Length

1 ½ hours plus extra time to see the general Zoo. No extra fee for Zoo entry. Participants are required to be at the Zoo a minimum of ½ hour prior to tour time. Tours run on Thursday to Sunday at 4pm. Book at least 3 weeks in advance, subject to availibility.

Guidelines:

Participants need to be able to understand and follow directions, have good mobility. As there is contact with cats, pregnant women need to get their doctors advise prior to making a booking. Minimum age is 4 years old.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jennie A really enlightening experience It was wonderful to be able to experience the animals up close and personal in a safe way. Our guide was really lovely and gave us all the information that was asked of her. We highly recommend this to anyone who loves or dont likes animals coz I wasnt keen on snakes but how great it was to actually hold a really big one, my opinion has certainly changed and I really surprised myself that i could do that 2 December 2012
