Skywalk Experience
SKYWALK at the Sydney Tower Eye is a breathtaking outdoor experience - 268 metres above the streets of Sydney. Step out onto the clouds as you venture across the glass-floor viewing platform for unique 360 degree views over glittering Sydney as your host points out the sights below.
Skywalk will literally send you over the edge! Suspended from Sydney Tower's limits, you will get sensational 360-degree views of Sydney from 260m above street level!
Your visit will start with a safety briefing. You are then fitted with protective Skysuits and prepared for the adventure out!
Harnessed to safety rails by sliding cables, you will be escorted along purpose-built steel walkways and platforms by Skyguides, pointing out the city's geographical, historical and cultural landmarks along the way.
Now here’s for some interesting facts:
- Sydney Tower is the 25th tallest freestanding structure in the world and the second tallest in the Southern Hemisphere
- It boasts the highest public observation deck south of the equator, sitting 250m above land
- Sydney Tower more than double the height of the Harbour Bridge (134m)
- Sydney Tower is the first place in Sydney to greet the dawn each day and the last place to see the sunset
- Sydney Tower is the same height as the Eiffel Tower
- Visitors to the observation deck can see 55km out to sea (weather dependant) compared to someone at Bondi Beach who can see just 5km to the horizon. This means a Tower observer can see a ship approaching Sydney two hours before the person at the beach
- Sydney Tower still sets the maximum height limit for Sydney buildings today – 279m
During your Skywalk experience you are guaranteed to have an amazing time and get spectacular views of a city that was voted the most beautiful in the world!
Also included is entry to Sydney Tower Observation Deck and Oztrek, a simulated ride which takes you on a virtual tour around Australia. 180-degree screens will see you travelling from tropical Queensland to the outback and beyond!
Please Note: If the group is already full upon arrival you may have to wait 30 - 60 minutes for the next tour depending on demand. You need to activate your voucher to be admitted.

Session Length
Each Skywalk lasts approximately 60 minutes. We are open from 10am- 8pm with walks departing every 30-60 minutes. The last Skywalk departs at 7pm (winter) and 8pm (summer). This includes a safety briefing and suit-up. This experience is for day, night or dusk walks.
Guidelines:
Suitable for almost anyone! However children must be 10 years or older to experience Skywalk and must be accompanied by an adult. Wheelchair access is available (advanced notification necessary). No loose items will be allowed on the Skywalk. You must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Numbers:
This experience is for one adult (16+ years). You will be in a group of approximately 15 people plus your guide on the day.
Spectators:
Not suitable for spectators.
Weather:
This experience operates in most weather conditions, except when lightning is present. During wet weather you will be supplied with an all-weather Skysuit.
Other Info:
Lockers are provided to keep your valuables secure during the walk. You must complete a medical declaration prior to the walk and you must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol prior to your experience. Cameras are not permitted on the Skywalk however photos are available for purchase.

To tell You the Truth I have A fear of heights but only when I look down off buildings , I don't mind being in A helicopter or Plane but on Buildings so high up I don't like . I felt OK until the wind started blowing strong on the other side when we arrived there ,the glass platform moved out but I could not stand on it , I preferred to stay close to the rails where I was more comfortable . My experience on the tower was scary but I did it and the Movie they show before the climb is fantastic...To tell You the Truth I have A fear of heights but only when I look down off buildings , I don't mind being in A helicopter or Plane but on Buildings so high up I don't like . The Skywalk was amazing. I was given ths RedBalloon experience as a Christmas present and it was so quick and easy to book the time and date we wanted. Very impressed! I will definitely recommend the skywalk experience and RedBalloon to my friends.
