Rated 2 out of 5 by Very Ordinary The company's guide who took us for this experience was so disinterested and unhelpful. He was keen for the time to be up barely told us anything before getting on the water. Expected us to stop when he waved his paddle from behind!! later on went so far ahead too bad if anyone did need help! 2 other people came a little late they had got lost on the way; the guide didn't bother to get another boat out which would have not taken long and we were happy to wait as it could have been just as easily us that got lost and how annoyed is one after travelling 2 hours and then miss out because the guide had no empathy. Take your own drinks and snacks none provided as said on the site. We knew going in Summer the rapids would be small but we did make our own fun. Lucky another man was there to transport dad and do the car swap as the guide wasn't going to help there either. If the company had a better guy taking groups you would have more fun and not feel like an intrusion to his weekend. We were a family group - Dad and 3 sons and a mate. Friendly and polite. 20 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by great family day, only negative was the adventure was supposed to include snacks and drinks. The only thing on offer was 1 bag of lollies to share!! good family day.... Highly recommend making a day of it and pack a picnic whilst surrounded by nature... 12 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by We had a lot of fun A very enjoyable morning out on the Yarra and getting to experience some easy-ish rapids 30 January 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not a half day trip Husband had this gift as a birthday present Arrived at departure point and met guide and 4 other participants I was a spectator and asked guide how long it would take in order to be ready with phone to take photos at the end Group set off on trip @ 9.50 and I returned to river arrival point at 11 well ahead of time ,to find all but 1 kayak already packed back onto trailer as they had completed the trip My husbands comments were that it was good but guide wasn't very forthcoming with information and he seemed to be in a hurry He also said that the guide was naturally ahead of them on the river but was concerned that at one point was @100 m ahead For my part I was disappointed to miss his arrival and not get any photos to post on the internet to family in UK who had purchased this trip for my husbands 50th birthday To conclude we both felt that we had a good day despite the trip but could have enjoyed the river part much more and it certainly wasn't a half day kayaking experience 24 January 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Had a great day and enjoyed the experience very much The weather was perfect and with a small group found it thoroughly enjoyable. Beautiful natural scenery and the rapids although small were good for a beginner level. 2 January 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The morning was fun. We had fun which was the whole idea. I think it may have been better if the group had been a bit smaller. We found we were quite spread out on the river so couldoften not hear the instructions. Anyway, thanks to the instructors on the day, we had a good time.( and the water was not too cold as it happened) 3 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by We had a great time! Amanda and I had a wonderful time paddling down the Yarra and would gladly do it again. My only criticsm would be that I felt there were too many kayaks in the group. 2 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 I think it was all positive. RedBalloon presentation as a gift was perfect love the red folder. The experience was great especially the young couple that were our guides. 31 March 2012
