30 Minute Tiger Moth Scenic Flight
Nothing compares with the thrill of flying in an open cockpit Tiger Moth. Relax and enjoy the romance of flying in a true lady of the sky.
A spectacular flight along the coast taking in breathtaking views of Perth’s beautiful beaches – in a word FANTASTIC!
On arrival your pilot will give you a brief history of this fabulous vintage machine. Following this you will have a safety brief and be strapped into the cockpit complete with leather helmet and goggles! You will be sitting in the front seat of the aircraft and your pilot will be sitting behind you. At this point it is time to relax as you are ready for take off!
Leaving Jandakot you will head out to Fremantle then meander up the coast, taking in the sites and enjoying the unique experience of having the wind in your hair at 1500 feet.
Arriving back at Jandakot you will be presented with your certificate of membership to the exclusive Tiger Club as one of the few people who have flown in this amazing old lady of the sky.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
Jandakot Airport is 15km south of Perth City, Western Australia.
Session Length
Allow approximately 45 minutes: includes a 15 min pre-flight briefing. Actual experience time is 30 minutes (engine start to engine stop). We are open 7 days per week from 8:00am to 5:00pm. (closed Christmas and Boxing Day, Good Friday and New Years).
Guidelines:
There is a minimum age of 13 years for all participants and a maximum weight of 100kg. A camera is ok but please bring a strap to attach it to your wrist.
Numbers:
You will be one on one with your instructor.
Spectators:
Friends and family are welcome – An observation deck and viewing café / restaurant area allow friends and family to relax while you fly.
Weather:
Weather restrictions apply. We will not fly in the event of rain, low cloud or strong winds. It is advised that you call the day of the flight to check conditions. On the day, should the flight not be possible, we will reschedule your booking for a later date.

Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or with no notice at all, will be forfeited
Suitability Information:
There is wheel chair access to both the club and the café upstairs for spectators. This experience may be suitable for people with a sensory impairment. Please contact the club for details.

I booked the flight for my husband as a 50th surprise birthday gift. He loved the flight so much, saying that he would certainly want to fly in a tiger moth again. The pilot was very informative, efficient and friendly, and the whole experience was absolutely fantastic. It was a pleasure to book with such ease and to have the flight go so smoothly. I'm not sure how we'll top this experience but will have to give everyone in the family a go after this. Thanks!

This was a birthday gift for my husband as he's not a material person and we were stumped as to what to give him. Since his trip yesterday, he has not stopped talking about it. He says it's one of the best gifts he's ever had and he enjoyed it so much. My daughter has now decided that she is going to book a flight for her partner for his birthday. Having flown many different aircraft over the past 40 years (including military aircraft), I have never experienced anything as wonderful as flying in a Tiger Moth. This would have to be the best experience ever. The only downside of this experience is "when it's over".

Great experience. I think 30 minutes is a perfect time period. I would suggest mounting a camera just below the top wing to take a shot of the passenger and pilot while in the air. This could be an optional purchase.

This was a gift I purchased for my Dad on his 65th birthday, booking through RedBalloon was so easy I didn't worry about a thing. I was even more impressed with the communication between RedBallon and the host and when I requested a particular character of pilot that my Dad would feel comfortable with, I was blown away when that was what we received on the day of the flight. I really enjoyed the experience. It's probably the only way to see Perth especially the coastline. I would definitely recommend this. If you are scared of heights probably not the best option though.

This was a present for my Dad - 81. He had a thoroughly brilliant time and would recommend it to everyone. The pilot was terrific and it a memory he'll never forget. Will be saving for another go! Only thing - he recommends wearing gloves as well as a jacket! Thank You
