Tour the Barossa on a trike! Take in Australia’s famous wine region for 90 minutes. Your trike tour will take you and a friend through the heart of the Barossa Valley, past towns, wineries and historic landmarks. This is the ultimate open-air Barossa adventure!
During this trike tour you can really feel, smell and taste the Barossa from the comfort of your open-air mobile lounge…literally! Feel the wind on your face and smell the rich aromas of the valley as your experienced local guide provides you with personalised in-helmet commentary.
On the day of your trike tour your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in the Barossa or you can meet in Nuriootpa. You will be given a briefing and your driver will fit you out with a comfortable helmet, show you how the intercom works and seat you with a firm-fitting seatbelt. You and your friend are about to experience the Barossa in a way that many people never will!
Once you are comfortable your friendly driver will start the engine and you’re off on the ride of your life! During the 90-minute chopper cruise you will be given a comprehensive scenic tour of a majority of the Barossa’s highlights and receive informative in-helmet commentary along the way. Your driver will show you many of the famous Barossa wineries, including some of the finest old bluestone buildings like Chateau Tanunda, Seppelts and Yalumba.
You will travel through three key towns – Tanunda, Nuriootpa and Angaston – viewing the historic buildings and landmarks, including many Lutheran churches with their impressive steeples.
There will be many photo opportunities and a couple of stops, including the ‘best view of the valley’ at Mengler’s Hill where you can stretch your legs and see the entire valley, including the sculpture park.
Your driver will also take you along the most scenic drive in the Barossa, along the stunning palm-fringed road which leads to Seppeltsfield, as well as the beautiful winding roads through the Barossa Ranges, often with a gum tree canopy overhead.
