An experienced instructor will take you through the basics in the shallows of Budds Beach before testing your new skills on the river, lined with impressive mansions and high rises.
Get out on the water and soak in uninterrupted views of Surfers Paradise during a stand up paddle board lesson. Located within walking distance from Cavil Mall, this fun group lesson begins in the shallows of Budds Beach where you will learn the basics of the sport. Once you're feeling confident and competent, you will enter the deeper waters of the Nerang River with your guide to embrace the sweeping views of the Gold Coast skyline and waterfront mansions.
This lesson commences with minimum of two people and can take up to 16 in one session.
Spectators can sit in the park or on the beach to watch the lesson but once the group is on the water it will be a restricted view. Ammenities at the beach include change room, toilets, outdoor shower, BBQ, shaded area, seating, a playground and a cafe. Free on the street parking available.
This experience runs in most conditions - rain is not a problem. If adverse weather conditions are present then the provider will reschedule for a later time on same day or another day. This is at the duty manager's discretion.
Wear what you feel comfortable in - swimmers, boardies, gym wear or sun protective clothing (if required). Bring a towel, a change of clothes and a hat.
