After a candlelit dinner, as the sun sets and the full moon rises over Wattamolla lagoon, join in on adventure of a lifetime. Get your glow sticks on and get back to nature, where you will learn all of the Royal National Parks natural wonders, and become a first class night photographer.

Experience the ecological wonders of the Australian bushlands on a nocturnal adventure through the country’s oldest national park. This exclusive tour takes you on a journey through the Royal National Park.

  • Watch the sunset at Providential Cove
  • Candlelit gourmet dinner as the Moon rises over Wattamolla lagoon, surrounded by fig trees
  • After a short drive to Bundeena and safety brief, walk to the Coast Track’s first look out for enchanting stories, stargazing and learning about the its unique Aboriginal past, European history, and a nocturnal take on its fauna, flora and geology.
  • Enjoy a rest-stop and midnight tea at “the Waterrun”, whilst learning how to take night photos from professional photographer Peter Solness.

From here you can choose option 1 or 2.

Option 1: Moonwalk: Sunset AND Sunrise

  • Your guides will lead you back to the bus, along the way you can chat to them to discover more, or you can test out your new found night photography skills
  • When you arrive back at Wattamolla your tent will be set up, so all you need to do is crawl in to bed
  • Wake the next morning to the sound of Australian birds and the sound of waves crashing on distant cliffs.

Option 2: Full-Moonwalk: Sunset TO Sunrise!

  • Continue your journey along the Coast Track, stopping for incredible views and night photo opportunities, such as the Wedding Cake and Marley Headland
  • Join in the fun of Boomerang, Spear throwing and “fire twirling” on Big Marley Beach
  • Enjoy another refreshment stop at Little Garie Headland.
  • Arrive at Wattamolla with time to have a nap on the beach or grass, or go for a swim before the sky starts to light up
  • Your friends that slept the night will join you for sunrise, no doubt keen to hear all about your adventure
  • By now, your chefs and guides will have cooked you a breakfast feast.

Venue:

Royal National Park, 30km South of Sydney

Session Length

Tour departs at 5.30pm-6.00pm. You will arrive back in the city at approximately 9.30am the following morning.

Guidelines:

This tour may be challenging and physically demanding for some people. It is therefore important that participants have a reasonable level of fitness. If you are aged 15-55 and you are not unfit or don't have any serious health problems, there should be no difficulties.

Numbers:

The Moonwalk requires a minimum of 5 people, and can cater to a maximum of 34 (18 max for option 1, 16 max for option 2)

Weather:

This experience runs in most weather conditions. Ponchos and waterproof bags for valuables are provided. Extra tents are available for shelter.

Other Info:

You can hire a Sleeping bag and linen for $10 or bring your own.
