Wine Tasting and Lunch in the stunning Yarra Valley is an award-winning visit to top vineyards and includes entertaining presentations and a superb winery restaurant lunch with wine. During your Yarra Valley winery tour you'll also visit the home of Australia's number one bubbly, Domaine Chandon!

Your full day Yarra Valley wine tour includes:

9am -10am: You meet at one of the pick-up points in Melbourne.

10am: You’ll depart the final pick-up point for the Yarra Valley, arriving at your first winery in about one hour.

11am: Yering Station Vineyards - Yering Station is one of Australia's most spectacular wineries. We'll start the winery tour by showing you how to swirl, sniff and slurp and then you’ll be ready to taste some of Yering Station’s award-winning benchmark classic wines.

12pm: Balgownie Estate - Balgownie Estate has long been the benchmark for style and class in the Yarra Valley and the wines also live up to this reputation. The first half hour will be spent at the wine tasting table, a great opportunity to make a wine selection for lunch! Then it's into the restaurant for a superb lunch while taking in magnificent vineyard views. Lunch includes main meal, a glass of wine and tea or coffee.

1.40pm: Yering Farm - The old hay shed situated at the top of the hill has been converted into a charming rustic cellar door, just oozing with character. It is a fantastic environment to enjoy superb wines made with traditional winemaking techniques.

2.15pm: Domaine Chandon - French Champagne company Moet & Chandon's Australian production house is the perfect way to finish the winery tour, with a guided tour through the winery that shows how the wine is made. This is followed by a relaxing glass of Australia's best bubbly with light tasting platters and a view that will leave you in awe. Spectacular, to say the least.

3.30pm: Leave Yarra Valley for Melbourne

4.30pm-5pm - Return.

PLEASE NOTE: Service of alcohol may be refused to persons deemed intoxicated. Persons causing a nuisance to other passengers may be removed from the wine tour. We are not liable for any expense incurred should this occur.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

This experience departs a variey of convenient Melbourne pickup points. Selected locations on the Maroondah Highway are also available! Pick ups are also available on request from selected locations on Maroondah Highway from Nunawading to Lilydale.

Session Length

Tours depart Melbourne city at approximately 10am (after pick ups) and return back to Melbourne city between 4:30pm – 5:00pm depending on traffic. The Yarra Valley Wine Tour is available 362 days a year, only excluding December 25-26 and January 1.

Guidelines:

Passengers must be able to prove age over 18 years for the consumption of alcohol. There will be no refunds for passengers who fail to be at designated pick ups at designated times. Alcohol may not be consumed on vehicles. 48 hours notice required to reschedule date.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. Vehicles for this tour are licensed to seat a maximum 24 passengers. We take individual group bookings to a maximum of seven people only, otherwise please contact the RedBalloon Events Team for private and group bookings for any larger numbers.

Weather:

We operate no matter what the weather. If it’s nice weather we spend time outside and if it is raining or cold we remain indoors at the wineries.

Other Info:

We have a comprehensive child policy which needs to be understood and agreed to if you are wishing to bring a child on board or purchase a child ticket. You MUST phone at least 24 hours prior to your tour departure date to confirm your pick up time. 48 hours notice required to reschedule.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic and engaging experience The whole experience from pick up through to drop off was great, thanks to Nick our driver. The service from Nick and Barb made booking easy and the day more enjoyable. The advice given for wine appreciation was educational and helped with the many purchases of the day. The tour was relaxed and there as no pressure to buy. Lunch was delicious and there was a great variety of wines to sample. I would recommend this tour to anyone. We had a great day. Rated 5 out of 5 by I had a fantastic day. I had a really enjoyable day. The driver for the tour was entertaining, knowledgeable, talkative. The bus was comfortable. The experience had everybody relaxe. I had a great time talking with the other people on the trip. The scenery was beautiful. The wineries were friendly. I bought wines at three of the wineries. The lunch was very nice. The brought homes some wines I really liked. In all the experience was great. As I don't drive, I do't get to go many places. It gave me an outing to remember and I would be interested in other trips organised for people who do not want to have to drive, e.g weekend trips or other day trips. 14 April 2013

Our driver/ guide was a blast, the group of people on our tour were all really nice and the staff at all of the wineries were also fantastic. The wines and lunch were also first class. With a friendly informed and informative driver, and a group of around 20, we could not fail to enjoy ourselves on what was a beautiful autumn day. The Yarra Valley impressed. 28 March 2013
