Wine Tasting and Lunch in the stunning Yarra Valley is an award-winning visit to top vineyards and includes entertaining presentations and a superb winery restaurant lunch with wine. During your Yarra Valley winery tour you'll also visit the home of Australia's number one bubbly, Domaine Chandon!
Your full day Yarra Valley wine tour includes:
9am -10am: You meet at one of the pick-up points in Melbourne.
10am: You’ll depart the final pick-up point for the Yarra Valley, arriving at your first winery in about one hour.
11am: Yering Station Vineyards - Yering Station is one of Australia's most spectacular wineries. We'll start the winery tour by showing you how to swirl, sniff and slurp and then you’ll be ready to taste some of Yering Station’s award-winning benchmark classic wines.
12pm: Rochford’s - Rochford's have long been the benchmark for style and class in the Yarra Valley and the wines also live up to this reputation. The first half hour will be spent at the wine tasting table, a great opportunity to make a wine selection for lunch! Then it's into the restaurant for a superb lunch while taking in magnificent vineyard views. Lunch includes main meal, a glass of Rochford’s wine and tea or coffee.
1.40pm: Yering Farm - The old hay shed situated at the top of the hill has been converted into a charming rustic cellar door, just oozing with character. It is a fantastic environment to enjoy superb wines made with traditional winemaking techniques.
2.15pm: Domaine Chandon - French Champagne company Moet & Chandon's Australian production house is the perfect way to finish the winery tour, with a guided tour through the winery that shows how the wine is made. This is followed by a relaxing glass of Australia's best bubbly with light tasting platters and a view that will leave you in awe. Spectacular, to say the least.
3.30pm: Leave Yarra Valley for Melbourne
4.30pm-5pm - Return.

PLEASE NOTE: Service of alcohol may be refused to persons deemed intoxicated. Persons causing a nuisance to other passengers may be removed from the wine tour. We are not liable for any expense incurred should this occur.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
Venue:
This experience departs a variey of convenient Melbourne pickup points. Selected locations on the Maroondah Highway are also available! Pick ups are also available on request from selected locations on Maroondah Highway from Nunawading to Lilydale.
Session Length
Tours depart Melbourne city at approximately 10am (after pick ups) and return back to Melbourne city between 4:30pm – 5:00pm depending on traffic. The Yarra Valley Wine Tour is available 362 days a year, only excluding December 25-26 and January 1.
Guidelines:
Passengers must be able to prove age over 18 years for the consumption of alcohol. There will be no refunds for passengers who fail to be at designated pick ups at designated times. Alcohol may not be consumed on vehicles. 48 hours notice required to reschedule date.
Numbers:
The price quoted is for one person. Vehicles for this tour are licensed to seat a maximum 24 passengers. We take individual group bookings to a maximum of seven people only, otherwise please contact the RedBalloon Events Team for private and group bookings for any larger numbers.
Weather:
We operate no matter what the weather. If it’s nice weather we spend time outside and if it is raining or cold we remain indoors at the wineries.
Other Info:
We have a comprehensive child policy which needs to be understood and agreed to if you are wishing to bring a child on board or purchase a child ticket. You MUST phone at least 24 hours prior to your tour departure date to confirm your pick up time. 48 hours notice required to reschedule.

It was a fun & informative experience, Edward our tour guide was very knowledgeable & hosted the day in an informal but professional manner. Lunch was lovely and overall we did buy more wine than we intended!!

The total experience was first rate, the wineries were excellent the lunch was great , our driver and tour guide (sandy) was also excellent, so no negatives all positives.

We loved every minute of our tour and our driver Edward entertained us all the way there and back, we have learned so much about wine now that we feel confident going out with friends and ordering and telling them all about wine and choosing the right wines with the right dishes. we will be doing this again very soon.

What a wonderful experience!! I would do this again in a heartbeat! Brett our guide was very personable and had a great sense of humour that kept us all entertained. My only negative feedback would be the lady who presented the wine tasting at Yerring Station was very patronising and dragged out this experience so we didn't really get any time to look around the winery.

Very well structured winery tour of the Yarra Valley with a diverse range of wineries and lots of interesting information provided by our tour guide David. Loved the scenic route to Wonga Park to Kerrybrook winery. The tasting plates at Domaine Chandon in contrast, were sparse and disappointing but the bubbly and the view certainly made up for this.

The Tour Guide David was quite good but it would have been nice to try a couple of other wineries also. Enjoyed the lunch at Rochford but didn't seem to have much time to look around. Luckily the weather was superb and the Valley was looking it's best.

Was a very fun trip. David the driver was a very funny and clever man. Learn a lot about wines but also had a really really fun day! and had a few too many :P Very safe driver too!

Was a fantastic day, would recommend to anyone, although they must go with David! It is the second time I have gone, and I would recommend the tour! David is very informative, good fun and is a great driver too! Make sure you ask for him!

As a day out, it was a lot of fun. The 22 passenger bus was very nearly full and not super comfortable but the scenery was beautiful, the wineries pleasant and the lunch was tasty.

I believe that all of this could not have been possible without a great bus driver and host. Nick our bus driver/host was fantastic, very knowledgeable, professional and very funny. We enjoyed the day immensley, the bus was prompt to pick us up and drop back. Good information provided by the driver. the wineries we visited where very friendly and we learnt alot about their wines. Simply a breath taking place the scenery was spectacular we had a great day.

The day in the Yarra was really well organised, very efficient, and we enjoyed lots of great wine! The tour guide, John, was great and clearly very knowledgeable. Only small criticism is that the day is so tightly structured you don't have the chance to sit and soak in the beautiful surrounding with a glass of wine - instead you're tasting, eating, back on the bus, before you're tasting again and then off again.... That is the only small critique of a day that gives you a great taste (so to sp...The day in the Yarra was really well organised, very efficient, and we enjoyed lots of great wine! The tour guide, John, was great and clearly very knowledgeable. The tour was great and informative. Great value for money. The only feedback for improvement for the tour would be slightly longer at each winery - even an extra 15 minutes - as at every stop we felt very rushed for tasting and buying with the limited time provided. In the 20-25 mins of free time at each stop there was only time for either the tasting or the sightseeing, not both.

I would like to thank John for being such an informative host/driver. I thought the wineries chosen were exceptional, scenery stunning, wines very good and our lunch at Rochford was most enjoyable, topped off by the beautiful "bubbles" we had at Domaine Chandon.

Was one mof the best experiences, received the voucher for my 60th and thought may not use this straight away, as I thought it may be boring. Gotta say it was one of the best days I have had. Wineries chosen were great, all different. Wine was excellent, had trouble carrying them, lunch was just beautiful. And gotta say the tour guide was just fantastic, and what a great sense of humour he had a laughing most of the day.,(just a credit to Wine tours) loved the whole experience. Thank you

We had a really great time on the wine tour, the information was great and the places we visited were really lovely. Lunch was really nice and there was a lot of opportunity to taste so many different wines! You could even go back for seconds!

It was beautiful day and compliments to Dave for a great commentary. Even though we are Victorians and know the areas he pointed out things we were not aware of. I have had quite a few RedBalloon experiences from Scuba diving to relaxing wine tours. Keep it up.

Great experience - the fact it rained all day, did not matter. John the guy who drove the mini bus - was a lovely chap and full of really useful information.

What a great tour! Pick -up location choices were easily accessible...and being driven around took the worry out of having to stay under 0.05. The one negative was that the wine tasting just prior to lunch was a little rushed (I do understand there was a timetable to stick to). My partner and I will definitely recommend the tour and RedBalloon. Well done.

The whole experience was fabulous...gorgeous scenery and great vineyards. Spent just enough time at each one, we were also blessed with amazing weather. Our tour guide Edward was informative, friendly and first class!!!! An amazing day spent with friends in the Yarra Valley. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the day very much and I have to say it was beyond my expectations. Our driver and tour guide Edward was exceptional! His knowledge of the area and of wines made the tour very informative and interesting. We were the only couple from Melbourne and we found the other tour group members to be fun and friendly. I was sad getting off the bus as we had to say goodbye to everyone. I would definately recommend the tour to my friends
