Join us for the most exciting, new experience in Brisbane. Long the domain of Sydney-siders, Brisbane can now revel in its very own Story Bridge Adventure Climb experience. This adult ticket for the 2.5 hour adventure will see you climbing the iconic bridge over the stunning Brisbane River!

Scale to the top of Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge to discover the city from a spectacular bird’s eye perspective.

Based at Kangaroo Point, Story Bridge Adventure Climb (SBAC) is one of only four such experiences in the world and is a ‘must do’ on a visit to Brisbane.

The exhilarating journey leads to an 80 metre summit, where climbers enjoy spectacular 360° views of Brisbane and its surrounds.

The picturesque Glasshouse Mountains are visible to the north, with the world-heritage listed Lamington National Park to the south. To the east, climbers enjoy views of Moreton Bay Islands, and to the west, Mt Coot-tha and the lush Brisbane Forest Park can be seen.

With dawn, morning, twilight and night climbs available, the Climb Over Brisbane's Story Bridge is an idyllic way to view Brisbane whatever the occasion. Watch Brisbane come to life on a dawn climb or why not enjoy a twilight climb as the sun sets and the city lights up.

Climbs are led by an experienced climb leader who provides fascinating commentary about the history and heritage of both the bridge and city surrounding them.

The climb takes approximately two-and-a-half hours to complete, which includes a safety briefing, climb simulator, suiting up and of course, the climb itself. Please note you will be given a blood alcohol test for safety reasons, so no pre-drinks!

Guidelines:

You must be 10 years of age or older to climb, (children 10-16 years must be accompanied by an adult). We also have a minimum height requirement of 130cm. Anyone with a moderate fitness level will enjoy this experience. This experience is not suitable for people with walking disabilities.

Numbers:

You will be climbing with a group of up to 12 climbers and each group is under the control of an experienced climb leader who will provide commentary along the way.

Weather:

Climbs go ahead in all weather conditions (except during lightening, hailstorms & severe winds). If your departure time coincides with a passing storm, the group will be held until the storm passes and the climb will then depart.

Session Length:

We climb 7 days per week, the experience is 2.5 hours in duration (closed Christmas Day and 3 days during the River Fire Festival in Sept). Daytime, twilight or night climbs are available everyday. Dawn climbs are available on Saturdays only. Please book 2-3 weeks in advance for weekend bookings.

Extra Info:

You will be required to sign an indemnity form and undergo a blood-alcohol test prior to your climb. If you fail this test you will be refused entry and you will not be refunded. (Maximum blood-alcohol reading is 0.05%).
