The Blue Mountains were made for adventures, and this Blue Mountain Bike Adventure Tour is the funnest way to do it! Novices to experts are welcome on this fascinating tour. See our gorgeous countryside with professional and talented mountain-biker guides! The Blue Mountains have never been so fun!

With gorgeous scenery abounding, this Blue Mountain Bike Adventure Tour is based on the Newnes Plateau. Newnes is an amazing testimony to what was once the thriving oil shale industry. Beginning at the Wolgan campsite, this tour takes you through winding canyons and around the Newnes plateau.

In terms of difficulty, free Saturday afternoon skills sessions are available to beginners and intermediates to refine your skills and help you advance to the next day. If demand exists, experienced riders will have the opportunity to take detours and go further afield with other available instructors. Please let us know your skill level at the time of booking so we can allow for those things. To mix it up a bit, there are other bikes available for you to test whilst you're out there.

Included in the package are everything you could want to make this the trip you want it to be - timeout for sight-seeing - knowledgeable, friendly ride coordinators, and all meals. Returning after a full-morning's ride on Sunday, you'll be back at the site at 1.30 Sunday, so you've had an awesome weekend and can still beat the traffic home!

This adventure begins in Newnes, 45 minutes north-east of Lithgow.

Guidelines:

You will be required to supply your own bike. A further list of requirements will be supplied to you before hand, namely a helmet, some camping equipment and a backpack. It is very strongly recommended your bike be professionally and full serviced before attending.

Numbers:

There are up to 20 people in a group with 2 guides.

Weather:

Medium to heavy rain will cause the event to be postponed.

Session Length:

This adventure involves overnight camping. You will start at Saturday 8.30am, and finish on Sunday at 1.30pm. The tour runs once every few months. If you would like to organise more than a few participants, please give us a call - this may bring forward availability.

Extra Info:

Any equipment you don't already own can be hired. All trainers are accredited and have Wilderness First Aid qualifications. There will be up to 20 participants in the group.
