A half day White Water Rafting adventure specially designed for beginners and the wild at heart. We take you through a safety briefing and lessons on controlling your raft. Once you're confident with the basics we head down to the rapids for your white water adventure.

There are two fantastic rivers used, the King River and the Big River, depending on water conditions. They have just the right mix of all the things people love about white water rafting - tons of great rapids, beautiful scenery, interesting history and the closest locations to Melbourne. It's an easy drive and a great place to get away from the grind. These rivers have something for everyone. They are rivers the whole family can enjoy and yet offers enough white water rafting excitement that people return annually.

Your adventure begins at with your guides giving you all the gear you'll need for an exciting day on the water. Then after a comprehensive safety talk and a quick skills session you'll be ready for some white water action!

There will generally be guided and self guided rafts available on the day depending on water height. So, if you’re a real adrenalin junkie ask to go on a self guided raft! You’ll love it!

On the Day

Session Length

  • This is a half day adventure that runs for 3 hours.
  • This experience operates July, August, September, October
  • The best time to go is between July-August
  • Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. All experience details will be confirmed by the provider

Numbers on the Day

  • The price quoted is for 1 person
  • There will be a maximum of 22 per group
  • We have 2-4 instructors depending on group size


  • Safety is our number one consideration and occasionally days will need to be rescheduled.
  • The decision to postpone the day will be made by the supplier
  • Not turning up just because the day doesn’t look good will forfeit vouchers

Dress Code

  • Participants must wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in
  • Wetsuits are provided for you. Participants must bring a change of clothes and a plastic bag to put any wet gear in.

If river levels are deemed unsafe for operation we may move the activity to another river.

  • Participants must be able to swim at least 30 meters in case they fall out of the raft
  • Average fitness is required
  • Minimum age is 12 years old
  • Maximum weight is 120kg


  • If you are unable to attend on the day please send an email or phone this experience provider
  • Cancellations within 14 days notice will need to pay a fee of $50 per person amendment fee applies ($25 per person for half day bookings)
  • Cancellations within 7 days notice - cancellations or reschedules are not possible. You may choose to invite someone to take your place if you are not able to make it, otherwise you will considered a no show
  • No-shows and late participants on the day will also forfeit their payment and no re-bookings/refunds will be given.
