Experience Australia's most famous white water rafting experience on the Tully River, south of Cairns. After being picked up from your accommodation you will enjoy a scenic journey through cloud covered coastal mountains, clear rivers and fields of sugar cane before the action begins. With up to 5 hours of rafting you will experience such exhilarating rapids as the unforgettable 'Alarm Clock', 'Wet and Moisty', 'Stair Case' and the dramatic 'Theatre'. You stop opposite Ponytail Falls, where a BBQ lunch is provided and time is made to replenish your batteries before you embark on the afternoons rapids. After your trip you will go to Rafters Cafe and re-live your day with your guides, viewing the thrills and spills on video, light refreshment included. Action photos and video of your day are available for purchase.

  • All day from 6am till 6.00pm
  • Please allow up to 11.5 hrs for this experience
  • Please book in at least 48 hours in advance to check availability

Numbers on the Day

There is seven people per raft plus guide.


Rafting trips available year round due to high water levels. In the event of extreme water levels after a cyclone, the trip will be cancelled and rescheduled.

Dress Code

Please bring your voucher, swimming costume, lace up shoes (note they will get wet), towel, change of clothes, water resistant sunscreen, a cap that can be worn under your helmet.
