St Kilda Beach plays host to this awesome pre-water intro to kiteboarding! This one hour lesson for beginners is a fantastic first step towards becoming a skilled kiteboarder - you have to crawl before you can walk! Enjoy learning technique and kite control from a highly experienced instructor.
This private lesson is the fastest and safest way to learn and develop solid kite skills before attempting to use a kite board. 80% of kiteboarding is kite control so you'll need to know the basics before you can really get started! This beginner's lesson takes place entirely on the sand because safety is paramount in kiteboarding. As part of your lesson you will be introduced to equipment selection, local site orientation, the 'wind window', safety systems, flying power-kites, full sized 4-line inflatable kites, set-up, launching/landing, the power zone, basic kiteboarding etiquette and more. Leave feeling confident to take on the big blue!
Suitable for those aged between 12 and 60 years old.
This is a one-on-one private lesson with an instructor.
95% of beach weather is suitable for kiteboarding. The provider will call you up to one hour beforehand if the weather is unfavourable and reschedule you at no extra cost. If you need more notice due to travel, please advise the provider in advance.
Anything comfortable as you won't be entering the water.
