Tick learning to kiteboard off your bucket list after 3 x 2 hour lessons with a highly qualified IKO recognised instructor. Perfect for beginners or those looking to enhance their skills, this program is designed to develop and improve technique and get you feeling confident in the water.
This private kiteboarding program consists of 3 x 2 hour lessons on the beautiful St Kilda Beach. Designed for first timers or beginners to the sport, participants will learn kite control and technical skills from a fully qualified instructor in three progressive stages. The first session focuses on kite control training where you'll be introduced to the technical side including the equipment and different kinds of kites, the wind window, setup, launching, landing and kiteboarding etiquette. The second lesson takes you into the water to teach you the safety systems, ins and outs of body drag, how to re-launch your kite and self-rescue techniques. The final lesson is the day you get on the board and apply all of the skills you have previously learnt. There is nothing quite like the feeling of your first ride when it all comes together! Have a blast taking on the big blue and leave feeling fully competent in the sport.
This is a one-on-one private lesson with an instructor.
95% of beach weather is suitable for kiteboarding. The provider will call you up to one hour beforehand if the weather is unfavourable and reschedule you at no extra cost. If you need more notice due to travel, please advise the provider in advance.
Please wear a swimsuit or wetsuit.
