Bring adequate clothing for the conditions, especially to stay warm on colder days when out on the water. Clothing can be stored in dry hatches on the kayaks. A hat (with chin strap to stay on if windy), some sunglasses, a dab of sunscreen, and a small water bottle are handy. Expect to get your feet wet, up to about shin height, getting in and out of the kayaks. If you require it the provider can lend you some special footwear for getting wet feet and you can store your shoes or sandals in the kayak dry hatch. If you bring your camera or phone on board the kayak, it’s best to attach a cord so you don’t accidentally drop it overboard.
