See the magnificent Humpback whales on their annual migration. Step on board a hi-speed, wave piercing catamaran, the largest and most stable vessel operating on the Gold Coast the ‘MV2000’. Featuring five viewing platforms the MV2000 allows unobstructed views of the whales and lots of photo opportunities to catch the tail slaps, pectoral waves and spectacular breaches. We have a marine biologist on board to deliver helpful commentary as the whales put on their show.

Morning tea is provided and there is a licensed bar and tea coffee are available. Optional extras include hotel transfers and professional photos.

On the Day

Session Length

  • This experience is 2.5 hrs long and is available every day between the 1st of June to the 31st of October (weather permitting)
  • Check in is at 8:30AM for a 9AM departure. Your cruise will return at approximately 12pm

Numbers on the Day

This voucher is valid for 1 person, there may be up to 190 people on the vessel.


If the tour is cancelled due to the weather, either prior to the day of travel, or it is affected on the day of travel to the extent that it is cancelled, an alternate date or return trip will be offered by the experience provider.

Dress Code

Warm clothing for the ocean going journey

Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are also recommended for your comfort whilst on deck

  • Seasickness is a common affliction when travelling on the open ocean. In a high majority of cases it catches people unaware. It is recommended that passengers prepare for travel on the open ocean by taking seasickness precautions prior to boarding
