What better way to experience the beautiful vineyard region of Red Hill and Main Ridge than by Horseback. On this unique 3 Hour Horseback Winery Tour you will taste award winning wines at some of Australia’s finest wineries including T’Gallant, Mantons Creek Estate, Green Olive and Mock Orchards.

This is a tour like no other. Forget touring wineries by car - take in the beautiful surroundings from the vantage point of horseback. If you've never ridden before an accomplished tour guide will partner you with a gentle, well-trained horse, and show you the ropes. If you are an experienced rider you are also in for a memorable day and may pick up some tips along the way. Visit two renowned wineries in the area and sample wine and produce on a gentle ride through the Mornington Peninsula hinterland.

On the Day

Session Length

  • The horseback winery tour is 3 hours long, and is available Friday through to Monday at 10am and 2pm
  • Saturday tours only run during daylight saving months
  • Arrival time is 30 mins prior to tour departure
  • During school holiday periods, sessions are limited to weekends only

Numbers on the Day

This experience is for one person. There are a maximum of 26 riders per tour.


Weather proof jackets can be provided if required. For the safety of the riders, tours may be cancelled due to unforeseen and/or inclement weather conditions. If this is the case riders will be offered an alternate tour option.

Dress Code

Long trousers and flat, closed in shoes (or riding boots) are recommended.

  • Minimum age is 10 years old - must be accompanied by participating adult
  • Maximum weight is 100 kgs
  • This experience is not recommended during pregnancy
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to be served alcohol at the wine tastings; photo ID may be required


Once this experience has been confirmed changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:


  • Greater than 7 days prior to the experience date: no fee to change the experience date and time.
  • Within 2 - 7 days of the experience date: 50% per participant fee to change the experience date and time.
  • Within 48 hours of the experience date, No Shows and Late Arrivals: Participants forfeit their experience and therefore are not entitled to a refund or to re-book.
  • For groups of 6 or more: Changes made within 0 - 14 days of the experience date will result in forfeiture of the experience and no entitlement to re-book.

Please note: If you leave the tour prior to its completion you will not be entitled to reschedule.
