Discover the beautiful Eurimbula National Park on this 2 hour guided tour, travelling by amphibious vehicle to get to this remote park region. This park is rick in cultural history, dating back from tens of thousands of years ago, to the Gooreng Gooreng Aboriginal people who have inhabited these lands, through to more recent history, when Captain James Cook first landed on this stretch of Queensland coast in 1770.

Your tour will take you to Round Hill Creek, to the sandy beaches, coastal bushland, mangrove wetlands and the rainforests, to a gathering place, called a Gunya or a Waybare, in the Aboriginal language. While on your tour you will enjoy a theatrical experience, learn about the incredible culture of the people who have lived here for so many generations, and discover the methods of hunting, gathering and tasting bush tucker, crab and kangaroo.

On the Day

Session Length

  • This experience lasts 2 hours.
  • This tour is available on Tuesday and Friday
  • The tour Departs at 9.30am and returns at 11.30am
  • This experience is not available on 25 December (Christmas Day) and 1 January (New Years Day)

Numbers on the Day

This tour requires a minimum of 4 participants. There will be a maximum of 64 other people on the experience.

Dress Code

Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are recommended. Wear cool, comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes for walking.

  • Adult: Ages 17+ years
  • Child: Ages 5-16 years
  • Senior: Must hold a valid Senior Card
  • A $2 Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Fee is payable on the day

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:

  • Rescheduling
  • Over 24 hours prior to the experience date: no charge
  • Within 24 hours of the experience date: 20% per person participant fee. Transferral of booking within 24 hours of experience will also incur a $25 per person fee.
  • No shows and late arrivals: Participants forfeit their experience and therefore are not entitled to a refund or to re-book. Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances
