Especially for Vivid Sydney, Kobe Jone's Chef de Cuisine Seung Kyu Min has created an exquisite menu; the perfect dining experience for two. Spoil your partner with a meal of meticulously crafted modern Japanese food with a creative Californian twist! With dishes that range from sashimi to wagyu beef, miso lobster tail and wafu papaya salad; this meal will surprise you with unexpected flavours and traditional elements. You'll also get to sip on a cocktail on arrival - but this isn't just your normal martini. The Flashing Terak will tempt your tastebuds with apple liqueur, cassis and lychee liqueur, and best of all, it comes out to your table flaming!

The meal finishes with a delectable green tea creme brulee, satisfying your sweet tooth and perhaps prompting you to go for a stroll to help you out of your food coma. You won't have to go far though to see the Vivid Sydney light displays, as the restaurant is smack bang in Darling Harbour.

Arrival Cocktail

  • Flashing Terak: Flaming cocktail layered over crushed ice with green apple liqueur. cassis, lychee liqueur and a dash of fresh apple


  • Flaming Number One Special: Fire balls of crab salad with avocado wrapped in Hiramasa kingfish and nori, baked with our secret sauce then topped with bittersweet soy glaze and smelt roe


Flashing Sashimi Platter: Selection of Sashimi served on a flashing bed of ice. Hokkaido scallops, NZ scampi flamed with yuzu butter, blue fin maguro tuna, Sydney rock oysters in ponzu, South Australian snapper, Queensland (cobia) black kingfish and Saikou salmon

Seafood Course

  • Miso Citrus Lobster Tail: Giant lobster tail (approx 350g) steamed in wafu thermidor sauce and drizzled with miso citrus, with wafu papaya salad

Meat Course

  • Wagyu 5+ Amiyaki: Master Kobe wagyu 5+ grilled to medium, sliced served with amiyaki sauce, accompanied by enoki shimenji mushrooms sautéed in seaweed butter


  • Flaming Anko: Green tea creme brulee with red bean and vanilla infused Polish vodka, served flaming to the table for a caramelised finish in a kamameshi pot
