Why You'll Love This

What's Included?

  • Full day defensive driving course
  • Presentations, demonstrations and in-car driving experiences led by experienced coaches
  • A range of different cars to drive on the day

This full day course involves a mixture of presentations, demonstrations and numerous in-car driving experiences to enhance your driving skills and road safety awareness. At the end of the day, you will be surprised how little your driver's license taught you and what years of experience have failed to show you. Experienced coaches will show you safe driving techniques while you test drive a fleet of different cars.

This special one-day driver awareness course is aimed particularly at young and novice drivers but suitable for anyone who wants to improve their driving skills. Unlike other defensive driving courses this one offers you a fleet of vehicles allowing you to test drive a range of vehicles to understand their characteristics. Plus not putting unnecessary wear and tear on your vehicle or your tyres.

Unique teaching tools such as Fatal Vision Alcohol and Drug Impairment Simulation Goggles are used for participants to experience the impairment that alcohol and drugs can cause on driving performance, in a safe environment.

This course is based on best-practice methodology to reduce over-confidence and risk taking in participants by showing them the limits of their ability and the limits of a vehicle. Change learned behaviour and habits using Right Way/Wrong Way teaching principles.

Some to the skills you can expect to learn are:

  • Contributing factors in crashes (the real fatal 4)
  • Vehicle Maintenance
  • Reactive car control skills
  • Driver attitude and behaviour
  • Wet weather driving
  • Skid prevention and recovery
  • Emergency braking and ABS awareness
  • Defensive "proactive" driving
