Enjoy a hands-on photography workshop in the outdoors of Sydney, learning how to navigate the controls and functions of your camera. With guidance from a professional photographer, you’ll combine theory with practical demonstrations. Leave with confidence and a memory card full of impressive images!
This fun and interactive workshop begins with understanding your camera and learning how to navigate its controls and functions. From your professional tutor, you’ll learn about composition, colour balance, aperture and shutter speed settings, as you photograph beautiful Sydney locations. Take home a thorough understanding of ‘quality of light’ and how to use it to create mood and emotion. This theory will be combined with many practical demonstrations and group exercises. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with new skills, camera confidence and a bunch of photos you’re proud of. You can finally say goodbye to the auto control system!
Minimum 4 participants for the class, maximum of 10.
If it looks as if the weather will be unsuitable on the day, you will be contacted early in the morning. In the event of cancellation, you can select an alternative workshop date.
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring coat for weather changes, walking shoes, hat, bottled water and any snacks necessary.
The experience provider is not responsible for any other costs which participants may incur including but not limited to travel, car rental, insurance, photographic purchases and/or rentals. You MUST bring your own SLR camera or compact camera with manual settings and a built-in flash. A smartphone with appropriate apps to control settings is also sufficient. Please make sure you also bring your user's manual, at least one empty memory card, one set of spare batteries (fully charged), camera bag, cleaning cloth and lens hood.
