Always wanted to make your own jewellery? Now you can! Explore your creative side and learn how to make rings, pendants and earrings in a contemporary studio. During this 7 week course you will gain a range of silversmithing skills under the expert guidance of contemporary jeweller tutors.

This silver jewellery class for beginners is run over 7 weeks to give you the best opportunity to learn the skills to design and make jewellery you can be proud of. Each class is 3 hours long to allow your tutor to demonstrate and guide you through a range of jewellery techniques like soldering, patterning metal and polishing.

The fully equipped studio is in a funky warehouse in Marrickville, where you get to see what a working contemporary jewellery workshop is like, and meet up with the studio artists. With small classes of no more than 10 students, you will be encouraged to develop your own unique designs and will be personally assisted to ensure you reach your goals. You will be amazed at what you can achieve and so will your friends when you show off your original ring and pendant, all hand made by you. Unleash your inner creativity and have fun doing it!

On the Day

Session Length

This experience takes place over 7 structured classes on a tuesday evening.

Each class is 3 hours long and takes place between 6.30pm-9.30pm

Numbers on the Day

Maximum class size is 10 people.

Dress Code

Students are required to wear closed in shoes, no loose clothing or loose jewellery. Long hair must be tied back.

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:


  • Over 2 weeks prior to the experience date: No charge
  • 48 hours to up to 2 weeks prior to the experience date: $50 per person participant fee to change the experience date and time
  • Within 48 hours of the experience date, No Shows and Late Arrivals: Participants forfeit their experience and therefore are not entitled to a refund or to re-book. Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances

Participant Changes

Change of participant is not permitted
