Boggo Road Gaol is Queensland’s most notorious, historic prison. Opening in 1883, it was the home to many locally-known criminals and became the scene of riots, protests, strikes and even capital punishment. This tour is led by an ex-prisoner of Boggo Road Gaol. Get the first-hand experience recaptured, learn the ways of the Boggo warders and immerse yourself in this piece of Queensland’s history.

Tour runs in all weather, and will only be cancelled if conditions are dangerous.
Wear comfortable shoes. Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen is recommended, especially in summer. Bring umbrellas/raincoats in wet weather. Dress suitably for the weather.
A bottle of water/soft drink is recommended for participants. A small amount of drinks are available on site for sale.
