Explore the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains with your eyes and taste buds as you discover spectacular rugged scenery and sample delicious local produce. Departing from Sydney, you'll tick off famous icons and sights, spot friendly kangaroos and enjoy a progressive lunch.
Experience the sights and delights of the Blue Mountain in one day. Departing from Sydney in the early morning, you'll hit the road and head west towards the Great Dividing Range. If Scenic World is on your ‘to do list’, your guide will work to incorporate this in at your own expense. If this is not for you, don't worry, you'll still be taken to see the jewel in the crown, the famous Three Sisters rock formation. Here you'll learn about the Aboriginal dreamtime story of the Three Sisters known as Meehni, Wimlah and Gunnedoo, and soak in the famous blue hue that gives the region its name. Next, you'll visit a local chocolatier to sample some mouthwatering sweets before visiting a secret lookout where you'll enjoy a delicious locally sourced lunch.
Jump back on the bus and wind gently down the Bells Line of Road for a stop at Bilpin, famous across the nation for chestnuts, walnuts and apples. If it's harvest season, you'll be able to wander off and handpick a snack in the fresh mountain air, or alternatively, you'll drop into Bilpin Cider to experience their crisp apple cider paired with cheese fondue. To top off an incredible day, you'll climb aboard a catamaran and cruise along the Parramatta River back to the heart of Sydney. Not only will you avoid the hectic afternoon traffic, it's the perfect way to experience and capture the city from a unique perspective.
