The Treetop Walk is a unique attraction which provides a 1.9km rainforest interpretive walk experience through beautiful cool temperate rainforest and features the 600mt long and 30mt high steel structured treetop canopy walkway. Experience the sensation of being 30 metres above the forest floor.

As you proceed along the level walkway, the ground progressively drops away taking you on a journey through the upper reaches of the rainforest vegetation strata. You emerge through the ferns of the forest floor to the tranquillity and beauty of the forest canopy. At 30 metres high you experience a unique, close view of the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Before you know it you are staring out above the tops of some trees and there are also some spectacular stands of ferns to look down on. Well designed and informative Interpretation Panels, explain in greater detail what the visitor is looking at several points along the walk, enriching the Otway Fly experience. The total walk takes approximately 1hr to complete but you are welcome to spend as much time as you like out there. This tour caters for visitors of all ages and levels of mobility for a unique and challenging experience at all times of the year.

Weather

This experience will run in most weather conditions, however in extreme weather such as lighting storms, high winds and bush fire warning days tours will be cancelled and rescheduled by the experience provider.

Dress Code

  • You are required to wear fully enclosed and comfortable sporting or hiking shoes
  • During winter you must wear warm clothing and bring wet weather protective outer wear
  • Loose objects, jewelery, wrist watches, hats, etc. cannot be worn or taken onto the tour

Restrictions

Children must be at least five years of age and a minimum of 125cm tall

Guidelines

  • Maximum weight restriction is 120kgs fully clothed
  • This tour is designed for those in good health with no existing injuries
  • You must have a reasonable level of physical ability
  • You must have the capability to understand and adhere to basic safety instructions (this means you have to be able to understand English or have a translator present)
  • Not suitable for pregnant women
  • Not suitable for those with an extreme fear of heights
  • Secure lockers are available onsite- anything you decide to bring is at your own risk

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and are arranged directly with them according to this policy:

  • Cancellations/Rescheduling will only be accepted with 48 hours or more of the experience.
  • No shows, Late Arrivals and cancellations within 48 hours: participants forfeit their experience and therefore are not entitled to a refund or re-book. Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances.
