Spring is here! Let's celebrate the freedom of not having to wear a jacket, the end of having to decide whether or not to take an umbrella every time you leave the house and not panicking when you realise you forgot to close your bedroom window. It's all sunshine and blue skies ahead, so how are you going to spend three glorious months of spring? Here are 10 ideas to get you started...

1. Have a picnic in the park

What better way to spend a glorious spring day than lazing in the park and grazing on a gourmet selection of cheese, crackers and cured meats. Lay out a rug and spend a blissful afternoon relaxing and watching the world go by. 2. Go sightseeing via kayak

3. Explore wineries on bicycle

Breathe in the fresh air and soak up your surrounds before pedalling past sights you may have otherwised missed if you were travelling by car. 4. Head to the beach

The water might be a little too fresh to dive into, but that doesn't mean a day at the beach should be ruled out. There's lots you can still do until you're ready to don your swimmers. Laze on the sand for one, or perhaps take some time out to read a book and people watch. Prefer to do something more active? 5. Go camping

There's nothing like a few days of camping to clear the head, recharge the batteries and appreciate the luxuries in life. Whether you head to a camp site or find your own spot away from the world, nothing beats looking up into the sky on a clear night and sleeping under the stars. 6. Take to the skies in a hot air balloon

Warmer weather makes early morning starts much more bearable and you'll be glad you waited for the temperature to rise before booking a morning hot air balloon ride. Looking for a fun night out with friends or perhaps you'd like to put the romance back into 'date night'? 9. Head out on a horse-back adventure

You either love it or you dont, but horse riding can be a really nice way to spend a few hours. Have a romantic day with your partner riding trails at twighlight, choose an experience that combines horse riding with winery tours or if you prefer to be a passenger, there's the option of a horse-drawn carriage ride through the city. We know what you're thinking, but don't knock it before you try it.
