Move over backyard BBQs and questionable cruises – if adventure is your middle name, and you’re looking for a buck’s party idea with a difference, then you’ve come to the right place.
We all know what a “typical” bachelor party should involve, but your mate is probably far from typical. So to celebrate what makes him unique, you can do better than what’s been done before.
Organising your best mate’s buck's party can be a fun but challenging task, and our advice is to utilise this opportunity to do something a little different. We’ve done the hard work so you don’t have to, and compiled a list of four buck’s party ideas with a difference.
Balls of steel
Did the two of you spend most of your childhood together playing Goldeneye on Nintendo 64? If your answer is, “Of course – was there any other way to spend a weekend?” then we have got the experience for you. Grabbing a paintball gun and teaming up to shoot coloured balls at an opposing team just makes good old-fashioned sense. Paintball is an affordable choice that'll give you anywhere from three hours of fun in the great outdoors. But for the love of all that is holy, please don’t hit him in the face or you’ll have his future wife to answer to.
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a… flyboard?
If the groom-to-be is more Clark Kent than James Bond, this experience could be right up his alley. The future of water sports is well and truly here. Flyboarding is the latest craze taking the world by storm, and the closest thing you and your mates will ever get to… well… flying! With a water jet-powered board strapped to your feet, you’ve got the choice of soaring 10 metres above the water or diving the same distance below.
Feel the need for speed
If he’s a horrible back-seat driver, and loves activities that involve being coated in a thin layer of dirt, then get the boys together for a rally driving race day. The hardest choice you’ll need to make is whether you’ll drive a Spec Turbo Subaru STI or Lancer Evo. If you want to take your experience to another level, strap in next to one of the pros and experience a hot lap like no other. Talk about a buck’s party with a difference!
Play it coal
If his two favourite things are an ice-cold brew and a sausage on a bun (after his fiancé, of course) then send the boys along to a beer and BBQ cooking class. You’ll learn how to master four dishes, which are perfectly matched with four different craft beers. That’s right, after each course you’ll get to sample the fruits of your labour over a brew with the boys. You quite literally get to have your steak and eat it too!
