    With only four people in every class, this master chef will pay attention to your detail like few cooking teachers would.

    Beginning with a welcoming coffee or herbal tea, you'll be shown into Chaloem's esteemed kitchen to learn the basics of Thai ingredients. This is essential in understanding the contrasting flavours and how master chefs Chaloem puts them together to create balance.

    The Thai Basics class will teach you everything you need to know to let your talent shine! Learn to make:
    • Penang curry paste (from scratch!)
    • Penang moo (pork penang curry - using your own paste)
    • Tom yum gai (hot and spicy chicken soup)
    • Pad thai pok (vegetable pad thai and
    • Pla goong (prawn and ginger salad - this one's an icon in the area!)

    The Chef's Specialty class will teach you to make Chaloem's very favourites:
    • Moo gatee (creamy pork dip)
    • Yum tua (mixed nut salad)
    • Pad ped grapow gai (chicken, chili and thai basil stir fry
    • Kaeng gai phaktong (Issan coconut-free chicken and pumpkin curry)
    and Khao neeow ma mum (coconut sticky rice with mango).

    For the North Eastern (Issan) cuisine class, you would learn the secrets of Issan cuisine, encompassing:
    • Green papaya salad
    • Larb gai (minced chicken salad)
    • Thai beef salad
    • Gai yang (grilled chicken)
    • Kaeng om gai (coconut-free chicken curry) and
    • Sticky rice.
    Our Master Chef is from Issan so you're getting some great advice!

    If you choose the Vegetarian cuisine class, you'll have a very fun and varied look at:
    • Yum tua (mixed nut salad)
    • Larb hedt (tofu salad)
    • Kaeng om puk ruam (Issan coconut-free vegetable) and
    • Yellow curry past and yellow vegetable curry!

    Session Length

    Choose one class from the above (but hey, you can do the others any time you like!) The experience runs for 3 hours, on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, from 9.30-12.30.
