Experience two days of thrills, rock climbing in World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National park. This activity is designed for participants with little or no previous experience. You will learn about safety on the rock, using climbing equipment, as well as abseiling, how to best use various footholds, handholds and other climbing techniques. Then you’re off to experience some of the best introductory rock climbs in the Blue Mountains. We’ll picnic amid the beautiful bush, with all food and refreshments supplied.

On the Day

Session Length

  • This experience runs for two full days starting from 8:45am to approximately 5pm each day.
  • Please note: your start time will be confirmed at time of booking.

Numbers on the Day

Group sizes are approximately one instructor for every five participants.

Weather

Sometimes wet weather may require postponing, but remember the weather in the mountains can be very different to that in Sydney. Assume this experience will go ahead unless you have been contacted. If you have any concerns regarding the weather, please call the experience provider.

Dress Code

Please dress for a day outside in the mountains. Bring adequate sun protection, rain protection and warm layers- The weather in the Blue Mountains is dynamic and can change quickly so be prepared! Please keep cotton clothing to a minimum - If it gets wet it will make you extremely cold! Ideal clothing is quick drying synthetics or wool. If the weather is cold then thermal underlayers are highly recommended!

Maximum weight limit: 130kg. Bringing the kids? Please call us first if you are wanting to book in any Adventurers under 12.

Guidelines

  • All specialist climbing equipment including climbing shoes is provided, if you have your own equipment feel free to bring it along.
  • This activity does require some fitness – if you can easily climb a household ladder you are fit enough.

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.

  • At least 72 hours notice is required to reschedule a booking
  • Any changes to bookings will incur a $50 administration fee per voucher
