With RedBalloon’s ear to the ground, we’ll always offer you the very best cruise deals around. Think of us as your personal cruise insider. But not the vacation, two-week-trip-to-the-Carribean-kind! We mean enjoyable day trips, dinner cruises and exciting animal-watching experiences.
Why would you go on a cruise?
Because it’s fun! Sightseeing on a cruise is a great way to bring the crew together and celebrate that special event or occasion without all the cleaning up. And it’s more exhilarating compared to booking a table at your favourite restaurant. It’s not just dinner or lunch - it’s a whole adventure! Throw in some beautiful whale, penguin or dolphin watching and you’ve got an ocean safari! Australia’s world-renowned and most spectacular harbours is right on our doorstep - Sydney Harbour. Whether you’re a local or travelling from interstate, we recommend that you take yourself and your party on a sunset cruise. Sydney Harbour cruises during this time of the afternoon is the perfect way to experience it. Just picture it: majestically backlit with a glass of bubbles in hand, this beautiful harbour is nestled in between Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House - can it get more perfect than that?
Contrary to what many people think, you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg when boarding a cruise from Sydney. At RedBalloon, we have many different cruise deals - we’re talking cheap cruises! Some of the harbour cruise experiences range from day, to sunset to dinner cruises. Even though our cruise deals are so well priced to begin with, it’s a good idea to keep an eye out for the occasional cruise sale - you don’t want to miss out on a real bargain! For those wanting a cruise experience in other states and territories of Australia, you’re in luck! Just search RedBalloon for your closest city to list the best range of cruise packages available. We really are lucky to be living in such a beautiful country, and it becomes even more apparent when you hop on a cruise and get close to the water (without getting wet of course!)
The cruise deal snapshot

What to bring on a cruise?
Extra clothes: Whatever your weather app tells you, we recommend bringing a light-weight cardi or jacket in the warmer months, and a heavier one for the cooler months of the year. Mostly because you never know when the weather will turn or when the wind will pick up!
Sunglasses: Think of any body of water, river or ocean as one big giant mirror. When the sun’s out, it’s likely to cause a whole lotta glare, and that’s any time of day. You won’t be seeing much if you’re squinting the whole time! And it’s not much fun holding your hand up for three hours while you shade your eyes.
Sunscreen: Even on a cold and cloudy day cruise, UV damage can still strike! After enjoying a spectacular harbour cruise sightseeing the day away, the last thing you want is to return to your hotel or home feeling a little sunkissed (or a lot burnt for that matter). From all of us at RedBalloon, happy sailing and bon voyage!
