Parasailing tandem will take high flyers soaring up to 150m above the water. The ballooning parachute is winched into the air from a speed boat and enables you and a friend to see Port Stephens from a rare and fascinating angle high above the water!

Catering for the timid to the adrenalin charged junkie, the parasailing experience begins as you step onboard and you will receive a short briefing from your flight instructor.

When it's your turn to parasail, you and your friend will be secured in a safety harness sitting one infront of the other, where we'll use the latest hydraulic technology to release you on and off the vessel. From the platform of the speed boat the two of you are gently winched into the sky, reaching a maximum height of approximately 150 metres. So just sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing view. The choice is yours as to whether you would like to stay dry or take a dip.

Observe the marine life as Port Stephens is resident to approximately 80 dolphins - so whether you are in the air or enjoying the boat ride, the dolphins seem just out of reaching distance. Their grace and playfulness is stunning and the sounds are mesmerising. At the completion of your 8-10 minute flight you will be winched back onto the boat platform. The safest way to parasail is by landing on the boat's platform. When not in flight, you will enjoy an exciting boat ride whilst others take their turn.

Session Length

The time spent in the air will last for approximately 8-10 minutes. There will be a maximum of 5 flights per hour. When not in flight, you will enjoy an exciting boat ride whilst others take their turn - the maximum time on the boat will be 1 hour. We operate everyday, except Christmas Day.

Guidelines:

No experience is necessary. Minimum age is 10 years and children aged 10 – 15 must ride tandem with an adult. Participants do not need to be able to swim.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people flying tandem. You will be on the boat with up to 8 other passengers and 2 experienced crew members.

Spectators:

For $15 per person, spectators are able to observe sitting in the boat, not parasailing. This is subject to availability.

Weather:

We reserve the right to reschedule bookings due to unsuitable weather conditions or any other unforeseen situation that may arise.

Other Info:

An indemnity must be completed and a parent / guardian must sign if the child is under the age of 18 years. PLEASE NOTE: Minimum age is 10 years and children aged 10 - 15 must ride tandem. Combined weight limit of passengers must not be over 230kg.

As someone who is afraid of heights I was very nervous but once you are up there it is amazing and you enjoy every minute of it. Tandem is so much fun as well because you get to experience it with someone too! 5 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by best experience ever! parasailing at port stephens was amazing, the boat crew was very helpful and full of great tips, i really liked being dipped in the ocean and the fact i got to go up with my partner to shre the experience together. it was way better than i expected, very peaceful with incredible views of all the beaches, islands & the mainland. deffinately would reccomend to others. thinking of doing it again myself! 19 March 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved it! We loved the experience. It was a beautiful day which I'm sure contributed in a very positive way. I can only imagine how awesome it would be if it was dolphin / whale season! However, I thought it was a little expensive so a lot of people would not be lucky enough to have a go, which is a shame. We thought it was a great idea taking off & landing on the boat unlike others where you have to run along the beach. So if you are a little older or have dodgy knees, as in my partners case, it makes it very easy to participate worry free. 18 March 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by ehh, ok I guess... This wasn't exactly a bad experience, but if you're looking for an adrenalin rush then I wouldn't recommend it. The views were nice, but apart from that all you really do is sit in a harness. The staff were rather un-enthusiastic about the whole thing too, I think perhaps having some excited guides would make the experience more memorable. Maybe we were just unlucky. If you are someone who is extremely afraid of heights however, I would suggest this as an introduction to the wonderful world of high flying sports! 18 January 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 Was a great experience. While it wasnt THAT long it felt like we were up there for ages. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Maybe Need more opportunity for photos though. Really enjoyed it and was totally worth it. 13 June 2012
