Kayaking is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the natural habitat of the marine life in Byron Bay. As you paddle your kayak on this wildlife tour, you will learn about the natural environment, the historical features of the area and about ways to conserve the environment!

During this kayaking tour you will get up close and personal with dolphins, stingrays, turtles and a wide variety of sea birds!

Our team, made up of Local Surf Life Savers, is committed to environmental issues and works closely with the local wildlife and marine researchers of the area.

You will learn about:

  • Aboriginal history and culture, visiting historical midden sites during the tour
  • The life cycle of sea turtles, dolphins and whales
  • Practical ways that you can help our fragile environment

Byron Bay, NSW.

Session Length

This experience takes place seven days a week, all year round, excluding Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Pick-up is at approximately 9:00am and the tour ends at approximately 12:30pm. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability.

Guidelines:

You must be able to swim at least 50m unassisted to participate in this experience. Participants should also have a spirit of adventure!

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. There will be a maximum of 30 participants in the group with four instructors.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions we may reschedule your experience for a later date.

    It was a fantastic experience to soak up the amazing local sights, weather and wildlife in Byron Bay...plus we got exercise out of it too! We both highly recommend sea kayaking in Byron and red balloon made the experience and bookings seamless with the tour operator, so everything ran perfectly for our morning.     Great experience. just forgot the sunscreen on legs... a bit burnt. Lots of fun, especially coming back in on the waves...
