Enjoy a scenic kayak to Victoria's Kanyapella Bridge where along the way your tents and camp will be completely set up, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the pristine surrounds, do a spot of fishing or just relax in the bush listening to all the birds.
The first day of your safari begins at Wyuna, just over 2-hours north of Melbourne at the Wyuna campsite. After final instructions the adventure begins with a slow paddle along the gentle current towards Yambuna Bridge. Lunch can be enjoyed on a remote shady sandbar along the way. Not far under Yambuna Bridge the first marker will indicate your campsite for the night. The tents and camp will be completely set up, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the pristine surrounds, do a spot of fishing or just relax in the bush listening to all the birds.
On your second day you’ll, once again, take to the river. The camp is dismantled for you and erected again further downstream. The marker will indicate the new campsite for the second night, in the splendid bush setting.
Your final leg of the journy will start with a morning paddle downstream. The river flows through the southern section of the Barmah Forest, a natural habitat for many species of water and forest birds. The safari concludes at Stewart’s Bridge (Kanyapella) and your vehicles will be shuttled to the finish.
