Ever wanted to travel out on the water to do a spot of fishing with out a fishing guide by your side? If you’re looking for the independence that boat ownership brings, then perhaps hiring a boat is the next best thing! You already have the fishing gear and the ‘know how’, now all you need is the boat. Take the controls of your hired boat and follow the map to some of your favorite fishing spots in the northern end of the harbour.

Our self-drive leisure boats are the perfect choice if you want to explore Manly's waterways in comfort and safety. Our boats are 4.2m long and 2.2m wide and feature a 15hp motor, forward steering controls, a removable canopy and cushioned seating. Its polyethylene hull construction provides maximum buoyancy, making them extremely stable and robust and they are simple to drive; no boat license required!

Licensed to carry up to 5 people, you can make a day of the experience with family and friends as you try to find out where the fish are biting.

Please note: The boat does not come with bait, however, there is a store across the road that stocks bait for purchase. Alternatively, you may bring your own.

IMPORTANT: You may take the boat to Collins Flat, Store Beach, Quarantine Beach, Reef Beach and more, however, the boat must not travel outside of the Quarantine Station or Dobroyd Head.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Manly, NSW – approximately 25 minutes north of the Sydney CBD.

Session Length

Boat hire is available all year round. This experience is 4 hours in duration and can be booked for any 4 hour period between 9am - 5pm (winter), 7am -6pm (summer). Bookings are essential and must be made at least 48 hours in advance; they should be made further in advance over summer.

Guidelines:

You must be at least 18 years of age to hire the boat. No boat license is required. We do recommend that you take a mobile phone with you on the day, in the event that you need to contact someone for assistance.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for a 4 hour hire of the vessel. The vessel can comfortably carry 2 – 5 people and operates with a strict maximum capacity of 5 people.

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the event of poor conditions such as high wind or large swells, your experience may have to be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.

Other Info:

If you do not have a valid fishing license and you wish to use the boat to fish recreationally, you must purchase a fishing license prior to the trip. Licenses are valid for 48 hours at a cost of $5.50pp. They are available for purchase online from the Dept. of Primary Industries.
