This experience operates around the extensive grounds of the Yarra Valley’s most spectacular winery, Rochford. The 90 minute tour is inclusive of all training, guiding, then followed by a delicious restaurant lunch. It’s the most fun you can have standing up!!

Segway Victoria’s experienced guides provide all required training, and before you know it you’ll be cruising around effortlessly while enjoying the unique freedom that only a Segway provides. You’ll glide among the picturesque grapevines, while learning a little about vineyard practices and what goes into making award-winning wines.

Once fully familiarised with and comfortable on the Segway, participants have the opportunity to hone their skills while they put the machines through their paces. One of the Yarra Valley’s most exciting activities!

Venue:

Segway Tours are operated on the grounds of Rochford Wines, the Yarra Valley’s most spectacular winery. Rochford Winery is one hour’s drive from Melbourne’s CBD.

Session Length

The total duration of the experience is around 2 ½ hours. The Segway tour is of 90 mins duration, and another hour should be allowed to enjoy the included lunch. The experience runs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 10.30am and 2.30pm.

Guidelines:

Children under 10 years of age are not permitted to join this tour for safety reasons. Pregnant women are not permitted to participate in the tour.

Numbers:

Our maximum group size is 8 participants. You will be accompanied and guided by one Segway guide.

Spectators:

Spectators may view certain parts of the Segway experience, but are not permitted to walk around certain parts of the area we travel on Segway.

Weather:

Segway tours will operate in all but the most extreme weather conditions, we provide complimentary rain ponchos for our guests in the event of rain.

Other Info:

For those guests joining the 2.30pm tour, it is essential to arrive at 1.30pm to enjoy your lunch before the Segway tour.

Suitability Information:

Wheelchair access is not available. Participants must be capable of climbing stairs unassisted.

The instructor was very caring and showed great attention to safety, particularly in the light of the fact that he had varying age groups to cater for. A fun day.Lunch was good too.

Great afternoon in the beautiful Yarra Valley. Lunch at Rochford Winery a great meal in lovely surroundings. Segway tour very enjoyable but watch where those wheels go!

Great Event. Steve is really the best guide this tout can get. The track was full of variety and so was his expertise with the super cool Segway.....Not to forget....the lunch was great tooo !!

The Segway tour was amazing. Very well worth the price for what you get and our guide James was great made you feel safe and relaxed. Would recommend any one going to Melbourne to give this a go.
