Set off on an exhilarating 90 minute on and off-road journey in and around the Armory at Sydney Olympic Park - exploring the natural and cultural heritage of its vast natural landscape, in command of your own personal Segway.

The Segway Armory Adventure is an amazing Riverside Heritage experience! Take a memorable 90 minute journey on a futuristic Segway.

Uncover the secrets and history of the area as you glide and float effortlessly between the many underground bunkers. Shift your weight forward, backward, and move the LeanSteer™ left and right to immediately send you gliding in that direction. Straighten up to gently stop.

Once you’ve found your Segway feet and all turning and manoeuvring skills have been mastered, participants are encouraged to explore the Armory freely and enjoy the natural character of the area including the remnant turpentine ironbark forest and wetlands bordering the site. No matter what your skill level, Segway Tours are designed so you feel comfortable and build confidence on the Segway. You will not believe how easy and fun a Segway experience is - until you’ve tried it!

Session Length

This experience is 90 minutes, including safety training. It's available almost every day of the year!

Guidelines:

There is a maximum rider weight limit of 117kg and a minimum rider weight of 35kg. Minimum age is just 14, and all participants under 18 must have participation form signed by a parent or guardian.

Numbers:

This experience price is for 1-8 people.

Weather:

Segway Tours operate in all weather conditions. Tours may be rescheduled in extreme conditions such as very high temperatures and lighting

    We just loved it. Even though it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, we were just two of us there with two instructors which I did not understand as I will definitely go again.

    It was a gift from my son for xmas. My two daughters and I had a great time. Was worried at first when I saw a young boy struggling but you just have to listen to the instructors. They were very good at explaining. Had a really great time. Thanks

    Segway tour was so much fun! The instructor was great, the location was fantastic and Segway's are one of the best inventions ever- I want one! Unfortunately though there was a mix up with our booking; we weren't booked in for the day/time that we went for our tour (even though we received a booking confirmation from RedBalloon) but thankfully the team at the venue were really helpful & organised for us to join the rest of the group when we arrived.

    Great instructor, we had a problem person in the group, and Suzie (I think that was the instructor's name) was calm and pleasant the whole time, well done.

    Instructor was great and we had a small group on the Segway tour. I had ridden before ( in the UK) but this time was a lot better. Much more of an experience as we were taken down steps, learnt how to control a Segway on hills up and down and got up to the maximum speed of 20 kmh. Would definitely recommend to everyone! A bit pricey for the 90 minute tour but worth every cent!

    Segway experience was absolutely the best! We were looking forward to it, and then a bit nervous about how difficult it would be. The instruction was fantastic, the experience brilliant - we laughed and enjoyed every bit of the 90 minutes, and laughed all the way home. What a fantastic outing - we were so pumped when it ended that we could have easily gone for another hour and still enjoyed it. Recommend it to anyone for a memorable day out.
