With a stable of over 70 quiet and gentle horses, this horse riding experience near Cairns offers a safe and relaxing way to see the rainforest. With horses to suit all levels and ages (min age 4 years) this is a perfect family adventure.
Upon arrival for your horse riding experience, the friendly staff will greet you with tea, coffee and traditional Australian damper. You will meet the friendly natured horses that are well treated and maintained and will be matched to a horse to suit your experience and ability. After a safety briefing you'll ride through beautiful bushland and rainforest, pausing at spectacular lookouts with panoramic views of the ocean, islands, beaches and surrounding hinterland. A few choice cantering spots will let you feel the wind in your hair. Experienced riders may have the chance to break away with a guide for a canter at intervals during the ride. Then back to the stables for light refreshments prepared by special catering staff with international experience.
We use the highest standard of equipment including Saferider safety stirrups with a quick release mechanism. We cater for beginners and experienced alike.

Koah - 35 minutes from Cairns, North Queensland.
The tour is approximately 4 hours in duration and includes transfers, meals, a safety lesson and approximately 2 hours on your horse. The treks run 7 days a week all year except for Christmas Day and New Years Day subject to availability and minimum numbers.
Absolutely no experience is necessary however, groups are divided up to cater for the more experienced riders. Horses are matched to individual riders depending on their size and riding ability.
Groups are usually kept to a maximum of 12 people unless a larger group is specifically requested. There is a minimum of 2 people required per trip.
Because the horses will be out of sight, this experience is not really suitable for spectators
Rain, hail or shine the horse ride will go ahead, but being in tropical North Queensland shine is the usual condition.
Safety is of paramount importance and only the highest standard of equipment is used. The best stirrup in existence is used to reduce the risk of getting caught in the stirrup iron. $15 Levy is included.
